Following Lin Wen's defeat in the competition, a distressed Zhou Yanxin struggled to find the right words to comfort her. He confessed that while Xu Nuo had always been the most important person to him outside of his parents, seeing Lin Wen's pain made him realize he would oppose Xu Nuo if he took action against Kuang Hu. Zhou Yanxin promised Lin Wen that he would stand by her and protect what she held dear.
As graduation approached, Ke Siyi invited her father to the ceremony, reserving a prime seat for him. However, her father, the coach of Kuang Hu, declined. He explained that all of Kuang Hu's members had been eliminated from the recent competition, and as their coach, he felt a great responsibility to analyze their mistakes and revise their training plan. Ke Siyi understood, promising to take many photos for him.
Meanwhile, at the graduation ceremony, Zhou Yanxin informed Xu Nuo that Liang Zhixiao was planning to propose to Ke Siyi that day. A frantic Xu Nuo immediately rushed the twelve kilometers from his company to the school, overcome with a mix of fear, nervousness, and excitement—emotions he realized stemmed from the fear of losing Ke Siyi. He arrived to find Liang Zhixiao holding a bouquet of roses and confessing his feelings.
Liang Zhixiao told Ke Siyi he had waited five years for this moment, recalling her past wish for someone to declare their love on graduation day, and asked her to marry him, assuring her that he had clarified things with Yun Zhu. Overcome with the fear of losing her, Xu Nuo spontaneously interrupted, confessing his own intense feelings and admitting that he had already fallen in love with her, even if he couldn't perfectly articulate it.
Ke Siyi, realizing the depth of his feelings, apologized to Liang Zhixiao. She then took Xu Nuo's hand, and they ran joyfully through the campus, eager to share their newfound relationship with everyone. Beginning their relationship, both Xu Nuo and Ke Siyi, new to romance, felt a mix of excitement and trepidation but soon found comfort in simply being their natural selves. Elsewhere, Yun Zhu noticed Liang Zhixiao's absence from work and learned he had taken leave after his confession to Ke Siyi failed.
Reminded that she needed to decide who would receive the resurrection card the next day, she privately wondered if Liang Zhixiao wanted her to revive "Masked Heroine." Yun Zhu then went to Liang Zhixiao's apartment, finding him surrounded by empty liquor bottles. She tidied up, offered him warm honey water, and encouraged him to get up and go out.
Liang Zhixiao, feeling the sting of rejection himself, admitted to Yun Zhu that his past words about keeping their distance had been incredibly hurtful, expressing deep regret for his former insensitivity. Yun Zhu, though angry at his self-pity, responded gently, saying she was there to spur him on, not to hear apologies. Back at the company, Ke Siyi, acting as Xu Nuo's bodyguard, fiercely intercepted a female director attempting to give Xu Nuo breakfast.
She declared that, as his bodyguard, she deemed the food and the person "dangerous" and stated that Xu Nuo did not eat breakfast from outside. Xu Nuo, despite their agreement to keep their relationship a secret, supported Ke Siyi, stating she was "his person" and that any criticism of her reflected on him. Later, he playfully scolded Ke Siyi for being so impulsive, though he admitted he liked it.
Ke Siyi then received a message from Wu Dongde, pressing her for information on Xu Nuo and reminding her of her mission to spy on him. She reflected on her initial reasons for accepting—Kuang Hu's perilous situation and Xu Nuo's then-annoying demeanor. However, since becoming his bodyguard, she had found him far less irritating. Now, as Xu Nuo's girlfriend, she was conflicted, knowing she could no longer help Wu Dongde without betraying Xu Nuo.
Just then, Yun Zhu messaged Ke Siyi, agreeing to give her the resurrection card. Ke Siyi immediately went to meet Yun Zhu, finding Liang Zhixiao already there. Liang Zhixiao attempted to mediate, urging them to put aside their past grievances. Yun Zhu, still carrying some resentment, agreed to give the card to "Masked Heroine," publicly challenging those who believed Masked Heroine's strength surpassed her own and vowing to show her true power.
Despite her lingering annoyance, Yun Zhu ultimately expressed her desire for their long-standing friendship to endure, and Ke Siyi gratefully accepted the card. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo grew anxious when Ke Siyi didn't reply to his messages, wondering if she regretted choosing him. He displayed his inner turmoil through memes, prompting Zhou Yanxin to advise him to express his true feelings rather than pretending to be calm.
Unable to hide his jealousy, Xu Nuo demanded Ke Siyi return to him within three minutes. Ke Siyi, knowing that revealing her identity as Masked Heroine in the finals would expose her deception to Xu Nuo, acknowledged that their relationship was destined to end. Yet, she decided to embrace the love she found, allowing herself to be selfish for once and enjoy the limited time they had together. She then declared to Liang Zhixiao that she would see him on the stage.
