Unbeknownst to her, Xu Nuo had just been asking Yunzhu about her whereabouts. Spotting Ke Siyi, Xu Nuo immediately pulled her aside. Still angry about the hug she witnessed previously, Ke Siyi tried to turn away, but Xu Nuo revealed his surprise: a car filled with fresh flowers.
He apologized, asking her not to disappear again when she was angry with him. Ke Siyi’s anger instantly dissipated, replaced by childlike joy at the romantic gesture. She playfully accepted his apology, agreeing to go home and take care of the flowers. This sudden shift left Zhou Yanxin and Lin Wen, who were watching from a distance, speechless. Lin Wen speculated that Ke Siyi had fallen for Xu Nuo, a conclusion Zhou Yanxin confirmed was "absolute."

Xu Nuo, as Chairman of Hege Media, made a grand entrance hand-in-hand with the show's star, Li Yunzhu, drawing cheers from fans. Ke Siyi, tasked with managing the media, watched them in the spotlight with a profound sense of jealousy.
Her dejection was noticed by Liang Zhixiao, who came to stand by her side. Both noticed the awkwardness between them; Ke Siyi had uncharacteristically avoided him that morning. Hoping to break the tension, Zhou Yanxin arranged for Ke Siyi to come over. In the living room, the two stubbornly refused to speak to each other, forcing Zhou Yanxin to relay messages. Exasperated, he scolded them for acting like children. Goaded by his frustration, Ke Siyi boldly confronted Xu Nuo: "You like me."
She pointed out that his heart rate accelerated around her, but not around Li Yunzhu. Xu Nuo pulled Zhou Yanxin aside, who listed all the evidence of Xu Nuo's feelings: tolerating her messiness, her tardiness, and his frantic searches when she disappeared. But Xu Nuo offered a shocking explanation: he could feel her physical pain, and in turn, she could feel his emotions.
He claimed his kindness was purely self-preservation, not affection, and that the "love messages" she perceived were misunderstandings caused by this bizarre connection. Ke Siyi, having overheard everything from the next room, was devastated. She stepped out and asked Xu Nuo if what he said was true.
