Zheng Dingding received a pet toy order from a buyer who decided to pick up the goods in person. Soon after, Wen Zixin sent Dingding a friend request via WeChat. Dingding agreed to meet her at a coffee shop. Zixin greeted Dingding warmly, reminiscing about their past outings and offering Dingding her favorite desserts. She then gently urged Dingding to reconsider her relationship with Chen Xun, even offering to sacrifice her endorsement opportunity if she was the obstacle.
Dingding, however, maintained that the issue was hers alone. Suddenly, Chen Xun entered the cafe, holding a bouquet of roses. He knelt before Dingding and proposed marriage. The surrounding crowd chanted for Dingding to accept. Dingding was momentarily stunned, recalling Xiao Feng's poignant words: a man who allows her to face surgery alone clearly does not love her.
When Chen Xun pressed her, she questioned his timing and sincerity, asking if his proposal was merely to make her happy, rather than a genuine desire for marriage. Chen Xun asserted that their long-standing partnership in building their business made marriage an inevitable conclusion, admitting he might have neglected her. Exhausted, Dingding asked Chen Xun to leave, and he departed with Wen Zixin. Dingding then turned to Ning Weijin, frustrated, asking why he always appeared when she was at her most vulnerable.
Ning Weijin stayed with her, offering her diluted saline and advising her to vocalize her feelings instead of bottling them up. He drew a parallel to the silent progression of breast cancer, emphasizing that patience is not always a virtue and encouraging her to fight back. Dingding, though surprised by his bluntness, was touched by his genuine concern.
Back at home, Dingding tried to distract herself from her heartbreak by busying herself with housework, even moving her wedding dress out of sight. That evening, she received an apology text from Ning Weijin, to which she replied, apologizing for her earlier outburst, and he wished her a good rest. She spent the night struggling to sleep.
The next day, after a brief, flirty encounter with a woman on a blind date ended abruptly for Gao Ren when he showed her a plastic surgery ad, Ning Weixuan splashed him with a water gun. Later, Ning Weixuan called Ning Weijin to pick up an express package, sending him Dingding's address. Ning Weijin arrived at Dingding's apartment, much to both their surprise. While she was gone, Ning Weijin, claiming to have OCD, neatly tidied her living room. Noticing her pet toy designs, which Ning Weixuan had praised, he encouraged Dingding to pursue her passion, suggesting she now had the freedom to do what she truly loved. Dingding, amused by his practical approach to comfort, showed him pictures of her late cat, Shrimp Ball, the inspiration for her designs.
She expressed a slight guilt, feeling as though she was "selling" her beloved cat, but Ning Weijin reassured her that she was simply spreading the happiness Shrimp Ball had brought. He then mentioned his own cat, Ning Weinan, named by his sister because it was "difficult" to raise. Dingding returned his freshly cleaned jacket, and he reminded her about her upcoming stitches removal appointment. After Ning Weijin left, Dingding found a note he had left on her bathroom mirror.
It advised her to wear comfortable, non-constricting bras, particularly avoiding padded ones, emphasizing that breast health was more important than cup size. Dingding glanced at her own padded bra hanging nearby and felt a flush of acute embarrassment. Meanwhile, Ning Weixuan eagerly showed Gao Ren her new cat cafe, jokingly pretending they were going to steal from it before revealing it was hers.
She presented him with the blueprints and renovation details, declaring him the project supervisor while she handled other preparations, such as exploring the city, attending yoga classes, and caring for Ning Weinan. Gao Ren grumbled at the heavy workload, but Ning Weixuan's charming persistence eventually won him over. Ning Weixuan returned, boasting about how she had "tricked" Gao Ren into paying for an expensive dinner. She heaped praise on Dingding's talent. Ning Weixuan then complained about Shu Yiran's bossy nature, contrasting it sharply with Dingding's "awesome" and "a little bit cute" personality, and openly voiced her support for Ning Weijin pursuing Dingding. Her brother, however, advised her to focus on her own life. Later, Dingding went to the hospital for her stitches removal.
Ning Weijin complimented her on following his advice about comfortable bras, noting her good recovery. Dingding noticed him using her pet bolster, which he confirmed was a comfortable gift from Ning Weixuan. Ning Weixuan then arrived with a bento for her brother and was thrilled to see Dingding. She immediately invited Dingding to go shopping with her, an invitation Dingding accepted. Gao Ren arrived to pick them up, serving as their "chauffeur." Ning Weixuan introduced Dingding to him.
Gao Ren's playful flirting with Dingding was quickly shut down by Ning Weixuan, who reminded him that Dingding was their friend. She then teasingly jabbed at Gao Ren's profession as a plastic surgeon. Dingding, still recovering from her recent breakup, promised to consider Ning Weijin as her first option if she decided to date again, solidifying it with a pinky swear. Meanwhile, Gao Ren, overhearing Ning Weixuan's matchmaking attempts, expressed his skepticism. He called Ning Weijin an "insulator of love" and suggested Shu Yiran would be a better match. Ning Weixuan, however, staunchly defended Dingding, emphasizing her unique charm and dismissing Shu Yiran as not her brother's type.
