While Zhou Dajun was busy in the kitchen, Chen Kexin slipped out of the apartment, leaving the door ajar. Meanwhile, a worried He Zhengyu tried to visit Chen Kexin but was stopped by hotel staff, who claimed she had already checked out.
Finding the apartment door unlocked, he entered and confronted Zhou Dajun for losing her. He dismissed Zhou Dajun's excuses and urged him to help in the search. Later, she urged Wu Anwen to be more discreet and diligent at work for her sake, and he, maintaining his facade, promised not to disappoint her.
