Jian Dan found herself covered in mud after being chased by Han Yansheng. Angrily, she demanded to know who he was to dictate her friendships at the mixer. Han Yansheng, with certainty, declared she was his girlfriend and therefore it was his business. He then pointed to the necklace around her neck, asking why she would deny their relationship after accepting a token of love. Jian Dan finally understood the necklace was always meant for her and smiled shyly.
Noticing the mud on her, Han Yansheng removed his jacket and tied it around her waist, playfully chiding her for falling despite being a grown adult. They walked hand-in-hand, drawing curious glances. Upon arriving at the Swimming Club, Han Yansheng publicly announced his relationship with Jian Dan to the members, who cheered enthusiastically. Nearby, Gu Entong looked visibly disheartened by the news. Back at the dorm, Mi Fen, having heard the news from Yuan Sen, excitedly congratulated Jian Dan.
Jiang Zhishan, entering the room, teased Jian Dan about dating being tiring, but both friends were genuinely happy for her. The next morning, Jian Dan prepared for class, having washed Han Yansheng's shirt, as he had promised to save her a seat. Inspired by Mi Fen doing her makeup, Jian Dan asked for help with her eyebrows. Mi Fen expertly drew one before rushing off to meet Yuan Sen for a movie.
Jian Dan confidently decided to draw the other eyebrow herself. When she arrived late to class, she ignored Han Yansheng, leaving him confused as to how he had upset her. He started passing her notes, but one, proclaiming "You're really cute when you're angry," accidentally landed at Professor Wang's feet. The professor picked it up and read it aloud, causing the whole class to erupt in laughter.
Later, Gu Entong went to the Swimming Club alone and was found floating motionless in the pool by a cleaning staff member. Students quickly pulled her out, and an ambulance was called. At the hospital, Gu Entong awoke to find Han Yansheng, Shi, and Monkey by her bedside. She asked for her medicine, and Han Yansheng was shocked to discover it was an antidepressant, realizing she had been suffering from depression.
Gu Entong confessed to Han Yansheng that she had never overcome the trauma of Nan Yuan's accident, regularly dreaming of him blaming her for saving only Han Yansheng. Deeply pained and blaming himself, Han Yansheng decided to stay with her, canceling his library plans with Jian Dan. Upon hearing the news, Jiang Zhishan voiced her suspicion, questioning the convenient timing of Gu Entong's episode right after Han Yansheng and Jian Dan announced their relationship.
Concerned, Shi and Han Yansheng discussed finding an expert for Gu Entong. However, Gu Entong insisted she was fine and demanded to be discharged. Han Yansheng acquiesced and arranged her discharge. Meanwhile, Jian Dan found her roommate Yue Tangtang suffering from severe stomach pain, but Yue Tangtang refused to go to the hospital. Jian Dan then went to the Rock Climbing Club to train with Jiang Zhishan.
Afterward, as they were leaving, they saw Han Yansheng escorting Gu Entong to the Swimming Club. From a distance, Gu Entong immediately feigned weakness, leaning heavily on Han Yansheng for support upon seeing Jian Dan.
