> Listening Snow Tower Recap

Jia Ruo attempted to stop Ming He's actions, but he was defeated by her. Ming He then commanded her guards to lock the High Priest away. Shu Jingrong insisted on accompanying Xiao Yiqing to Nanjiang. Xiao Yiqing, unable to deny her, relented. Together, they led the Snow Tower disciples to attack the Moon Sect, where Qiu Hu Yu emerged to confront them.

Qiu Hu Yu led his men to intercept Xiao Yiqing, but Shu Jingrong intervened, asserting she would handle him and urging Xiao Yiqing to continue his advance. Realizing then that the perceived animosity between Shu Jingrong and Xiao Yiqing was merely a fabricated deception, Qiu Hu Yu declared it was time to settle their long-standing score. To Shu Jingrong's astonishment, he made no attempt to defend himself as her Blood Rose Sword pierced his heart.

Qiu Hu Yu, dismissing his men's interference, expressed no remorse, stating that to be killed by her sword brought him contentment. He mused that Storm League and Qiu Hu Yu himself had metaphorically died on the day Ren Fei Yang passed, and now, with no regrets, he could finally join his father and brother. Nan Chu attempted to escort Xue Wen and Bing Ling away, reassuring Xue Wen that Xiao Yiqing was on his way.

However, they were intercepted and surrounded by Moon Sect’s forces. Ming He seized the opportunity to attack Bing Ling, but Xue Wen bravely shielded him, taking the blow herself. Nan Chu was then struck by Ming He and poisoned. Ming He taunted Xue Wen, reminding her that Moon Sect was her home, before ordering her forces to attack and "spare no one from Snow Tower."

As Hong Chen and Bi Luo arrived, Nan Chu instructed them to escort Xue Wen and Bing Ling to safety while he remained to cover their retreat. He was warned by Ming He not to exert his inner energy, as it would trigger the poison rapidly.

Ming He then kidnapped the poisoned Xue Wen, declaring that she had been afflicted with the Moon God Flower poison and would die without an antidote from her, using Xue Wen to control Xiao Yiqing and ordering her men to attack him. Severely wounding Nan Chu and diminishing his strength, Ming He was confronted by the arrival of Xiao Yiqing, who intended to rescue his mother.

Ming He mockingly addressed Xue Wen, noting her long wait in Hong Lian Prison to see her son again. Xue Wen apologized to Xiao Yiqing for failing him, but Xiao Yiqing vowed to save her. Ming He then revealed that Xue Wen had been poisoned by the Moon God Flower and would die unless she received an antidote within the Moon Palace.

She declared that she would not allow Xiao Yiqing and Xue Wen to reunite, and ordered her men to kill Xiao Yiqing. Overwhelmed and trapped, Xiao Yiqing could only watch helplessly as Ming He took the poisoned Xue Wen back into the Moon Sect, with Xue Wen desperately telling him to leave her. A disciple informed Shu Jingrong that Xiao Yiqing had been unable to save Xue Wen and was now trapped himself.

Shu Jingrong resolved to lead her remaining disciples in an attack on the Moon Palace's main hall, hoping to create a chance to save Xue Wen. Inside, they were met by Ming He's ambush, resulting in heavy casualties and leaving Shu Jingrong alone. Ming He then dismissed her guards, stating she had much to discuss.

Shu Jingrong questioned Ming He’s cruelty toward Xue Wen, her senior, but Ming He retorted that she would eliminate anyone who harmed Moon Sect, claiming Xue Wen had betrayed her mother and as Sect Leader, it was her duty to eradicate such opposition. She expressed a fierce resolve to kill anyone who stood against her, regardless of their connection or universal opinion.

Shu Jingrong lamented Ming He's transformation, accusing her of repeating Hua Lian's mistakes and plunging Moon Sect further into ruin. Ming He angrily blamed Shu Jingrong for her current state, and attempting to sow discord, revealed that Jia Ruo had regained his memories but pretended ignorance so Shu Jingrong could return to Snow Tower with Xiao Yiqing. She further claimed Xiao Yiqing also knew this and withheld the truth.

Shu Jingrong, however, rejected Ming He’s instigation, stating she would confront Xiao Yiqing herself. Ming He then maliciously revealed that Jia Ruo was dying, his heart meridian afflicted by the Xuan Yin Heart Sutra poison. She declared her plan to sacrifice Shu Jingrong, the Blood Demon’s daughter, to the Holy Lake the next afternoon, stating she had anticipated Shu Jingrong’s attack to make her a sacrifice.

Ming He asserted that even if Xiao Yiqing had escaped, he would return for Shu Jingrong and Xue Wen, ensuring neither would leave Nanjiang alive. With that, Ming He commanded her subordinates to seize Shu Jingrong, who was unable to resist the overwhelming numbers. After being severely poisoned by Ming He, Nan Chu's mind became unstable.

He urged Xiao Yiqing to leave him behind, reminding him of his duty as Snow Tower’s Master and Xue Wen’s plight, and that he, Nan Chu, was merely a subordinate. Nan Chu explained that the Moon God Flower poison had deeply penetrated his heart meridian within hours, rendering it incurable, even by Jia Ruo’s Xuan Yin Heart Sutra, unlike Shu Jingrong's previous mind control.

Despite Xiao Yiqing's desperate attempts to find another way and his refusal to abandon his elder brother, Nan Chu knew his end was near. He could not bear the thought of becoming a puppet controlled by the poison. To spare Xiao Yiqing from having to kill him, Nan Chu used his long sword to take his own life in front of Xiao Yiqing, who was then overcome with profound grief.

Nan Chu's final words to Xiao Yiqing were to not be sad, as he had done nothing wrong. After capturing Shu Jingrong, Ming He went to see Jia Ruo, dismissing her guards. She gloated about fighting off Xiao Yiqing’s attack, admitting she had used the Moon God Flower poisoned Nanjiang disciples to defend Moon Sect, thus preventing Xiao Yiqing from saving Xue Wen. Jia Ruo confronted Ming He, accusing her of deliberately controlling the poisoned people for her own purposes.

Ming He confirmed his accusation, adding that Xue Wen was indeed still her captive. Jia Ruo then angrily questioned why Ming He refused to release Xue Wen, to which Ming He confessed her true motive: she did not want to see Jia Ruo join forces with Xiao Yiqing or return to his former self, declaring she would give her life to prevent it.

Jia Ruo criticized Ming He's evil path, but Ming He, trying to manipulate him, reminded him of his past promise to stay by her side, asserting he had nowhere else to go. She then cruelly revealed that Shu Jingrong was her captive and would be sacrificed to the Holy Lake the next day.

Ming He elaborated that this act would lure Xiao Yiqing back, and she would then kill both him and Shu Jingrong, ensuring they would never leave Nanjiang alive. Enraged, Jia Ruo lunged at Ming He, choking her, but she remained unafraid, reaffirming her plan. Releasing his grip, Jia Ruo appealed to their shared history as fellow disciples, requesting one final meeting with Shu Jingrong to bid her farewell.

Ming He agreed, stating it would allow Shu Jingrong to die without regret. Bi Luo and Hong Chen tended to their wounds, with Bi Luo reflecting that they only escaped due to Nan Chu's sacrifice and condemning Ming He's cruelty in controlling Nanjiang's people with Moon God Flower poison. They acknowledged the severe damage to Snow Tower and the unpredictable, inevitable, and even harder battle awaiting them the next day, particularly since their previous ambush had failed.

Hong Chen emphasized the paramount importance of keeping Shu Jingrong safe. Bi Luo added that Xiao Yiqing must be in deeper sorrow than them, so they must persevere. He then gave Hong Chen his Yu Chang Sword for protection, explaining that it was difficult to fight mind-controlled opponents without it and that he could use ordinary weapons. Hong Chen initially hesitated, concerned about his safety without it, but eventually accepted the sword, promising to protect herself.

Bi Luo asked her to take care, and expressed hope that they would return to Snow Tower safely, where he would teach her to play the zither again. After Nan Chu’s death, Xiao Yiqing vowed that Snow Tower would conquer Moon Sect the next day and ensure Nan Chu had not died in vain. Gu Guang, having managed to escape Moon Palace when Ming He dispatched most of her disciples to ambush Xiao Yiqing, met with the Tower Master.

He confirmed that Bing Ling had been rescued and expressed his condolences for Nan Chu's sacrifice. Gu Guang reported that an increasing number of Nanjiang people were suffering from the Moon God Flower poison due to contaminated water from the Holy Lake, which Ming He intended to weaponize against Snow Tower, threatening the entire region.

Gu Guang then conveyed Jia Ruo's elaborate plan for the next day: during the upcoming ritual, Jia Ruo would attempt to snatch the Moon Soul from Ming He and then proceed to the main hall to activate the Holy Lake’s gate switch. This action was designed to completely destroy the Moon God Flower and cut off all sources of the poison. However, once the gate was opened, it could only be closed by someone entering the lake.

Gu Guang cautioned that if their timing was off, Jia Ruo might be forced to send Shu Jingrong into the lake first as part of the contingency. Xiao Yiqing, greatly distressed by Shu Jingrong’s involvement and his lack of prior knowledge, was informed that Jia Ruo had no other choice and had already contacted Shu Jingrong, who was willing to "take responsibility" for him.

Xiao Yiqing agreed to cooperate, pledging to attack Moon Palace swiftly to prevent further disaster for Nanjiang and reiterating that Shu Jingrong’s safety was paramount. Gu Guang expressed his wonder that, after all this, Xiao Yiqing and Jia Ruo were finally uniting to resolve the crisis. Meanwhile, Ming He, surrounded by chanting disciples, prepared for the Holy Lake ritual, a "grand event" where she intended to retrieve the essence of the Moon God Flower.

As she recited incantations, she internally acknowledged that the blessings her Nanjiang people sought would, ironically, bring them great danger due to her manipulative plans. Later, Ming He discovered that the chains operating a mechanism beneath the Holy Lake had been moved. Realizing that only she and Jia Ruo knew about this hidden gate and that he was the only other person capable of entering the Holy Lake, she deduced he had sneaked in again.

Further investigation revealed that the Holy Lake water was actively pouring out, confirming Jia Ruo’s deliberate interference. Ming He also found a mechanism beneath the Sect Leader's throne and concluded that Jia Ruo was planning to manipulate these mechanisms. She became wary, understanding that Jia Ruo, having discovered the switch, was actively working against her, and she vowed to make him regret if he intended to join forces with Xiao Yiqing. Finally, Ming He brought Shu Jingrong to meet Jia Ruo, and the two siblings reunited with profound emotion.
