> Listening Snow Tower Recap

Xiao Yiqing, in an attempt to fragment Mai Qiancheng's influence, purposefully acquired some of Mai Qiancheng's followers. Enraged, Mai Qiancheng began to incite rebellion, claiming that Xiao Shishui was abusing his power for personal gain and intended to transfer Snow Tower into the sole property of the Xiao family, thereby turning its members into mere house slaves.

He rallied the crowd, asking how they could maintain their dignity and urged them not to await their doom, but to "arrest the violent, assist the weak, and support justice." The misled crowd echoed his calls. In response to the brewing unrest, tasks were meticulously assigned within Snow Tower. Chi Xiaotai was dispatched to escort and protect the Crown Prince of King Zhen Nan, identifying herself as a junior to the Young Tower Master, Xiao Yiqing.

Meanwhile, Zi Mo and Nan Chu confronted assassins sent by Mai Qiancheng, members of the Tian Li Assembly. Nan Chu informed Zi Mo that Xiao Yiqing had foreseen this ambush and had already directed the Crown Prince to take an alternate route to avoid further casualties. He confirmed that Chi Xiaotai should have successfully escorted the Crown Prince to Luoyang City by then.

With Mai Qiancheng unable to restrain himself any longer, Nan Chu and Zi Mo planned to join forces with other loyal members to assist Xiao Yiqing. Shu Jingrong arrived at Feng Qing Garden to bid farewell to Xiao Yiqing. She found the garden unusually empty, and Xiao Yiqing informed her that Snow Tower was undergoing a purge that day, asking her to leave. Shu Jingrong then realized that Xiao Yiqing had known her true identity all along.

Moments later, Mai Qiancheng and his men stormed in, calling Xiao Yiqing a coward. Xiao Yiqing quickly concealed Shu Jingrong before emerging with his loyal subordinates to face Mai Qiancheng. Xiao Yiqing denounced Mai Qiancheng's followers as "despicable scoundrels," lamenting that despite his previous mercy for the sake of the old Tower Master, they were now so impatient.

Mai Qiancheng, intent on usurping the position of Tower Master, mocked Xiao Yiqing's youth and frail health, claiming Xiao Shishui had left him only "good-for-nothings" and vowing to kill him that day. As their intense battle ensued, Shu Jingrong, worried about Xiao Yiqing's underlying ailments, stepped out to protect him. However, Xiao Yiqing, despite his illness, displayed formidable sword skills. As the fight continued, Xiao Yiqing began to weaken, his body still fragile.

Mai Qiancheng taunted him for fighting without his Moon Spirit, predicting his death. The combined efforts of Snow Tower members eventually overpowered Mai Qiancheng, leading to his capture. However, his confidant, Huang Quan, managed to escape from Zi Mo. Zi Mo, recalling a past encounter, seemed to intentionally allow him to flee.

Years ago, a young Huang Quan deeply impressed Zi Mo by fearlessly defending an old horse, "Lao Hei," from a cruel master, even offering to pay its debt and taking a beating in its place. Zi Mo later learned that the escaped person, now identified as Huang Quan by a witness, was indeed the one who had gone to the Qian's safe room. She suggested reinforcing Snow Tower's security, anticipating further attacks from the Tian Li Assembly.

Meanwhile, the Crown Prince was discovered to have been afflicted by a venom bug. Qing Lan initially harbored suspicions about Ye Huo, who had been traveling with them, but the Crown Prince, upon regaining consciousness, expressed his trust in Ye Huo, stating his mother had personally chosen her. Qing Lan's guard was subsequently lowered. Suddenly, the haunting Moon Serenade of the Moon Sect filled the air, causing the Crown Prince excruciating headaches.

Ye Huo recognized it as a means to manipulate his sanity and swiftly implanted another, non-poisonous venom bug into him to temporarily counteract the serenade's effects. Huang Quan, injured, wandered through the streets alone at night. Zi Mo saw him but chose not to intervene. Later, the Moon Sect launched an attack on the Crown Prince. Qing Lan and Ye Huo valiantly fought to protect him from being abducted.

Despite their efforts, the Crown Prince remained poisoned, and Ye Huo sustained a grave injury from a poisoned needle, making their prospects grim. Ye Huo's injury was severe, and Qing Lan feared she would die within days without an antidote. The Crown Prince expressed concern that news of his poisoning would trigger internal strife within King Zhen Nan's Residence and embolden external enemies in Nanjiang. He asked Qing Yu to impersonate him as Crown Prince to divert attention.

Qing Lan proposed traveling to his master in Sand Valley to remove the venom bugs and poison from both the Crown Prince and Ye Huo. Ye Huo, however, seemed reluctant about the plan. Back at Snow Tower, Doctor Mo informed Zi Mo that Xiao Yiqing's condition was perilous. His Jue Yin Disease, which he normally suppressed with internal energy, had worsened after his battle with Mai Qiancheng, draining his vital essence and now attacking his lungs.

Doctor Mo confessed that even with Master Xue Gu's aid, it would require a miracle to save him. Fortunately, Xiao Shishui, having briefly recovered, sent the treasured Moon Spirit to Xiao Yiqing just in time. While the Moon Spirit would extend Xiao Yiqing's life, Doctor Mo could not predict for how long, advising them to take it one step at a time. He cautioned Zi Mo to keep Xiao Yiqing's critical condition a secret.

Shu Jingrong remained at Snow Tower to care for Xiao Yiqing. One day, she encountered Xiao Shishui and thanked him for saving her from Hua Lian years ago. Xiao Shishui, however, expressed his deep shame and regret for failing to save the Blood Demon couple (Shu Jingrong's parents) from Hua Lian, explaining that Moon Sect's ambush had delayed them.

Shu Jingrong, while acknowledging her parents' misfortune, assured him she knew who the true murderer was and bore no grudge against him. She confessed her desire for a peaceful life, free from conflict and resentment, and offered to assist Snow Tower in any way she could.

Shu Jingrong later brought medicine to Xiao Yiqing, expressing concern for his health and remarking on his impressive martial arts, a stark contrast to her own limited self-defense skills taught by Bai Di to keep her away from the martial world's dangers. Xiao Yiqing explained that his Jue Yin Disease was contained in Thermal Valley with the Moon Spirit's protection, and he had cultivated his sword skills due to his responsibilities as Young Master of Snow Tower.

He inquired about Shu Jingrong's worries, which she attributed to the chaotic world and deceptive people she had encountered. He then warned her to be careful, as the Moon Sect was likely in Luoyang. Continuing their arduous journey, the Crown Prince pondered the Moon Sect's unexpected aggression, suspecting a mole among his guards. With Ye Huo severely wounded by a poisoned needle, the responsibility of their survival fell entirely on Qing Lan.

Despite Ye Huo's suggestion to use herself as bait to help the Crown Prince and Qing Lan escape, Qing Lan refused to leave her behind, reminding her of his promise to give her a medicine journal. The three continued their journey, with Ye Huo expressing hope that after her recovery, she would tour Jiangnan with Qing Lan and care for him in return.
