> If The Voice Has Memory Recap

On stage, Lin Nan reveals that the man shown on screen is Yu Luxi’s father, who suffers from intermittent amnesia, often forgetting his daughter’s face but always recognizing her voice. Lin Nan emphasizes that sound holds unique memories, citing examples of Yu Luxi's father recalling her voice clamoring for specific foods and praising his cooking. He asserts that these personal experiences and emotions are unique and cannot be replicated by data algorithms.

Lin Nan then discloses his true identity as the former voice actor Mai Da. He recounts how throat cancer years ago drastically altered his voice, leading him to abandon the dubbing industry. However, meeting Yu Luxi and being inspired by her brought him back to the microphone.

He explains that while he lost his old Mai Da voice, he embraced his authentic voice as Lin Nan, a change that reflects his courage to face setbacks and his growth through life's challenges—qualities, he states, that artificial intelligence lacks. He concludes by affirming that emotion is the most wonderful part of sound.

The host announces the final results of the AI versus traditional dubbing competition: Future Technology received 28% of the votes, while Light Chaser Studio triumphed with 72%, securing 5. 76 million votes. The audience celebrates Light Chaser's victory. Backstage, Liang Yiyi tells Yu Xiaotian that emotion is more important than his technology, and Yu Xiaotian, seeming to agree, asks if she has forgiven him.

A producer approaches Lin Nan, praising his speech and announcing that Light Chaser will be responsible for dubbing "Recalling Chang'an." A desperate Guan Cheng attempts to plead with the producer to reconsider, but his efforts are in vain. Lin Nan offers to treat everyone to an expensive celebratory dinner. During the celebration, Zhao Junran gathers his friends to announce his decision to leave the dubbing industry.

He initially jokes about inheriting his family’s wealth, but Zhou Na presses him for the real reason. He then admits that with his father seriously ill, he must return home to take over the family business, shoulder his responsibilities, and make amends to his younger brother, though he believes it's not a "cool" reason. Zhou Na assures him it makes him look very handsome.

Fighting back tears, Zhao Junran shares heartfelt goodbyes, shaking hands and hugging his friends before leaving, with Zhou Na quickly following him. Lin Nan remarks that Zhao Junran has finally grown up. Some time later, Lin Nan, Yu Luxi, and her father are fishing. Lin Nan subtly asks Yu Luxi’s father for his impression, to which her father praises his character, noting his clear eyebrows and kind demeanor, even playfully suggesting he’d be afraid of his wife after marriage.

Lin Nan then explicitly asks for permission to marry Yu Luxi. Her father initially hesitates, citing her youth, but Yu Luxi, at twenty-five, quickly clarifies. Her father then gives his blessing. Lin Nan promptly produces a diamond ring, surprising Yu Luxi’s father. Yu Luxi happily accepts, extending her finger for Lin Nan to place the ring. Lin Nan promises her father he will take good care of her, and her father heartily agrees. A year passes.

Lin Nan, now actively working under his real name, is in a recording studio, meticulously practicing his lines while a director gives him strict instructions. Yu Luxi visits him, teasing him about whether he regrets not using his Mai Da identity, but Lin Nan is content with his current persona. She mentions the upcoming Echo List award ceremony, and he assures her he isn't nervous with her by his side.

Meanwhile, Zhou Na and Zhao Junran navigate their busy schedules, meeting for a rushed working lunch, reminiscing about quick school-day rendezvous. Elsewhere, Yu Xiaotian tutors a sleepy Liang Yiyi, who explains her exhaustion from demanding work. Yu Xiaotian, doting on her, suggests she doesn't need to work so hard, revealing that his AI system has won an award and will soon bring in prize money. Later, Yu Luxi is announced as the final winner of the Echo List.

On stage, she expresses gratitude and reflects on her journey, acknowledging past criticisms but highlighting the immense joy she found in dubbing. She encourages fellow enthusiasts of Chinese animation dubbing not to fear a lack of opportunities, emphasizing that persistence leads to success. She declares that this award is not an endpoint but a new beginning, vowing to remain true to her passion for dubbing and to cherish every moment at the microphone.

To her surprise, Lin Nan is introduced as the mysterious guest to present the award. He congratulates her and hands her the trophy.

In a subsequent montage, the characters reveal their continued paths: Lin Nan, though no longer a competitive performer, dedicates himself to training aspiring voice artists; Liang Yiyi, while still loving voice acting, finds her calling in teaching children about the emotional power of voice; Zhao Junran, having left the stage, keeps dubbing as an integral part of his life; and Liang Yichuan, though not a voice actor, remains deeply devoted to the art form, never forgetting his youthful dream.

In a post-credit scene, Yu Luxi and Lin Nan are with Yu Luxi's father, who is again disoriented. Yu Luxi plays a recording of herself, but her father insists it's not his daughter's voice. Lin Nan and Yu Luxi try to convince him, but he maintains that he cannot recognize his daughter's voice in the recording, even if it sounds similar. Yu Luxi playfully asks if someone imitated her voice.
