Shen Yuanqing told Xia Ling that he had found someone who knew about Xia Qifeng's disappearance back then and wanted to take her to find that person. Xia Ling wanted to call Cao Yanbing, but Shen Yuanqing stopped her. Xia Ling said that she came here this time because Cao Yanbing was going to Luhuagucheng, and the "jiang xia" left by her father contained clues about Luhuaguzhen. They needed to find the General Chain to open the "jiang xia".

Shen Yuanqing said that this matter involved some of Xia Qifeng's privacy and Cao Yanbing seemed to have some reservations about General Xia, so it was best not to call him. Finally, Shen Yuanqing took Xia Ling to Lingtai. When Cao Yanbing woke up and found that both Xia Ling and Shen Yuanqing were gone, after inquiring, he heard that Shen Yuanqing had taken Xia Ling out of the residence and gone west, so he hurried after them.

Someone on the street bumped into him and stole his belongings. He chased the person to a quarry and discovered Shen Yuanqing's true identity. It turned out that ever since he became the acting Spiritual Guardian, he had been enslaving the Linren, forcing them to work as laborers to build the Lingtai, which could enhance Yuan Shen power.

After Cao Yanbing learned that Shen Yuanqing had taken Xia Ling to Lingtai, he knew Xia Ling was in danger and rushed to save her. When Xia Ling arrived at Lingtai, she found that she couldn't summon her Guardian Spirit. Shen Yuanqing was the one who had stolen from her father's grave and taken the General Chain. He was afraid that Xia Ling came to Hanxian Jie to compete with him for it, so he decided to attack her.

Finally, Cao Yanbing arrived and teamed up with Xia Ling to defeat Shen Yuanqing. It turned out that Shen Yuanqing felt that he had been diligently guarding Hanxian Jie and eliminating evil Linren following Xia Qifeng, but because he killed a Linren during a mission, Xia Qifeng drove him away. Xia Qifeng believed that since Vessel Spirits could use Yuan Shen power, they already had an advantage over Linren and should therefore restrain themselves and not abuse Yuan Shen power.

His limit was to only kill evil Linren and not harm innocent Linren, but Shen Yuanqing had killed a female Linren. Shen Yuanqing begged Xia Qifeng to give him a chance and let him stay in Hanxian Jie, but Xia Qifeng said he now had the ability to protect himself, so he still expelled him. As a result, he wandered outside for three years.

Three years later, he returned to Hanxian Jie and found that evil Linren were everywhere, and Xia Qifeng was nowhere to be found. He threatened those Linren that if they wanted his protection, they had to obey him. He spread the word that Xia Qifeng had abandoned Hanxian Jie and was living a carefree life in the human world, and thus he became the acting Spiritual Guardian.

Shen Yuanqing felt that it was he who came out to clear the evil Linren when they were everywhere. What did harming and enslaving Linren matter, because the Spiritual Crossroads was originally a place where the strong preyed on the weak, and as long as he was strong enough, Hanxian Jie would be his. Xia Ling said that he could be a Spiritual Guardian and could be dissatisfied with her father, but he should not harm innocent neighbors.

He was completely unworthy of being a Spiritual Guardian in this way. Cao Yanbing asked Xia Ling how she wanted to deal with Shen Yuanqing. She was a bit soft-hearted and couldn't bear to kill Shen Yuanqing. Cao Yanbing told her that if she didn't kill Shen Yuanqing, he would still come out and do evil. Xia Ling asked Cao Yanbing if there was a way to neither kill Shen Yuanqing nor let him harm others again.

Cao Yanbing sent Shen Yuanqing to the adjacent street. Whether he lived or died depended on the Spiritual Guardian of that place. Xia Ling and Cao Yanbing were preparing to leave Hanxian Jie when they were stopped by the Linren on the street, who thanked her.

They also learned that the story of Xia Qifeng abandoning the street and fleeing was a rumor fabricated by Shen Yuanqing, and they believed that the general would not abandon them and there must have been a reason. Xia Ling told everyone that her father had passed away three months after leaving the Spiritual Crossroads for the human world. She would investigate the reason for her father's departure at that time and give the residents of Hanxian Jie an explanation.

The Linren asked Xia Ling if she would be the Spiritual Guardian here when she returned. Xia Ling felt that her strength was insufficient to protect them well and that she still had much to learn. But the Linren said that compared to strength, they felt it was best to have a Spiritual Guardian with a kind heart.

Cao Yanbing told everyone that being a Spiritual Guardian was not a simple matter and hoped they would give Xia Ling some time. After they finished this journey, they would give everyone an answer. Xia Ling and Cao Yanbing opened the "jiang xia" and a map appeared. Luhuagulou should be near Lingfeng Street. However, neither of them knew where Lingfeng Street was.

They thought of someone who had traveled all over the Spiritual Crossroads, the Spiritual Guardian of Bodhi Street, the legendary God of War, Beiluo. The two prepared to go to Leiquan Street to find him.
