Jiang Fang diligently sought opportunities to encounter Han Hui near Anning, aiming to secure her contract. He even booked a restaurant and expressed his intention to discuss business with her over a meal, though she initially declined. Coincidentally, Han Hui had just faced a setback with Ye Feimo, making her more receptive to Jiang Fang's proposals.
He later met Han Hui at Anning's entrance, where he proposed that Yaohua Media was preparing to heavily invest in projects and would tailor plans around her for the coming years. Han Hui, however, preferred to build trust before discussing business, asking for more time to get to know him. Jiang Fang, understanding her stance, patiently agreed, confident that he and Yaohua Media would not disappoint her.
Meanwhile, Wen Kai, facing an increased rent demand from his landlord, resorted to borrowing from loan sharks. He ended up in deeper debt, unable to repay, which led the loan sharks to target his sister, Wen Xiaonuan. Just as the situation escalated, Ye Feimo and Gu Yunzhou arrived. Ye Feimo confronted the loan sharks, learning that Wen Xiaonuan owed them one million, and promptly settled the debt.
Wen Kai was overjoyed, repeatedly calling Ye Feimo his "brother-in-law" and even re-enacting his heroic actions of beating up the loan sharks and throwing the check, showering him with praises that made Ye Feimo unable to hide his happiness. Wen Xiaonuan, though grateful, was embarrassed by her brother’s enthusiastic declarations and asked Jiayi to check Wen Kai’s injuries. Later, Wen Xiaonuan privately thanked Ye Feimo and promised to repay him the one million.
Ye Feimo challenged her, asking how a rookie without a job planned to earn such a large sum. Wen Xiaonuan, despite lacking a job and resorting to ideas like acting as a zombie in an amusement park, remained stubborn about not signing Anning's artist management contract. Ye Feimo then used the debt as leverage, proposing that she sign an artist management contract with Anning Culture, and the debt would be waived.
Wen Xiaonuan initially refused, accusing him of taking advantage of her vulnerable situation. Ye Feimo explained that he saw her potential and, as a businessman, believed she could help Anning make more money. He assured her the contract contained no unfair clauses and was a dream opportunity for a newcomer. Wen Xiaonuan inquired if she could terminate the contract once she earned one million, and upon his confirmation, she signed the S-grade artist management contract.
Afterwards, Ye Feimo teasingly demanded she apply medicine to his "hero-saved-beauty" injury. Jiayi, who had observed Gu Yunzhou's actions, complimented him, stating he was quite handsome. Wen Xiaonuan returned home with her S-grade contract. Wen Kai, delighted by her new status, hailed her as "the hope of the whole village" and declared she was on her way to the top. He also boasted about his own plans to lead his troupe to become "inheritors of intangible cultural heritage."
He disparaged Jiang Fang, calling him "too thin and like a monkey," while praising Ye Feimo as her "President brother-in-law," despite Ye Feimo also being thin, describing him as "different" and "pleasant to the eyes." Annoyed by his ramblings, Wen Xiaonuan sent him back to his troupe. Wen Xiaonuan's new life as an artist began with strict regulations.
Zhou Xiaojing, the Artist Director, sent an email at 2 AM, reminding Wen Xiaonuan that as an Anning S-lister, she must be on call 24/7 and report for training by 8 AM, or face a pay deduction. The next morning, Ye Feimo waited downstairs for Wen Xiaonuan, offering her a ride, but she opted to ride a shared bicycle, claiming the subway was too crowded. Upon arriving at Anning Culture, Wen Xiaonuan was formally welcomed.
Ye Feimo immediately docked her half-day's pay, asserting that company rules required artists to arrive fifteen minutes early, thus making her on-time arrival "late." He then gave her a tour of Anning's Production, Project, and training departments, emphasizing the rigorous standards required of S-listers. Zhou Xiaojing informed Wen Xiaonuan that they would begin with a basic test to create a tailored training plan. Ye Feimo declared he would personally supervise her first day's course.
During the physical assessment, the instructor noted her poor flexibility, energy, and coordination, along with excessive body fat, severe dark circles, many fine lines, and bad posture. Ye Feimo then laid down a series of strict rules for Wen Xiaonuan: she must sleep before 11 PM daily and send a "bedtime photo" to the Artist Management Department, her phone would be confiscated during training, and she must wear high heels at all times except when sleeping or dancing.
Despite being intimidated and pressured, Wen Xiaonuan vowed to meet all requirements. Jiang Fang continued his pursuit of Han Hui. He not only accommodated her preference for choosing her own expensive brand of dresses over sponsored ones but also cleared out a private restaurant for her, promising a quiet and comfortable ambiance. Meanwhile, Ye Feimo found it difficult to focus on work after Wen Xiaonuan joined Anning Culture. He frequently visited the training department under the pretense of "inspecting" operations, much to Zhou Xiaojing’s quiet frustration, who noted it was his fifth visit that day and that his constant presence, while motivating, also added pressure on the artists.
When Ye Feimo asked why Wen Xiaonuan’s phone was with Zhou Xiaojing, she reminded him that he himself had mandated artists’ phones be confiscated during training. Later, he questioned why Wen Xiaonuan was still training past 8 PM, only to be reminded by Zhou Xiaojing that it was because Wen Xiaonuan had not met her daily learning targets, as per his regulations.
He offered Wen Xiaonuan a ride home, but she declined, opting to ride a shared bicycle for exercise, citing her poor physique. Undeterred, he followed her, claiming he was "researching the effect of S-lister's training." Ye Feimo then showed up at Wen Xiaonuan's door, asking why she hadn't answered his call.
She reminded him of his own rule that S-listers couldn't use their phones during work hours and stated she had assignments to complete even after hours, leaving her no time to check her phone. He subsequently brought two hot pots, claiming a delivery error, but Wen Xiaonuan refused them, explaining that as an S-lister, she could only eat dietitian-approved food.
Ye Feimo suggested a night run for exercise, but Wen Xiaonuan again cited his rule about her 11 PM bedtime due to dark circles. Frustrated by her strict adherence to his own rules, Ye Feimo immediately revised the "Anning S-lister Special Training Rules," adding a clause that "The President Office reserves all rights to the final explanation."
Using this newfound authority, he then instructed Zhou Xiaojing to demand various "bedtime photos" from Wen Xiaonuan – sweet, lively, cute, and cool – clearly enjoying his ability to control her actions, even involving Jiayi in helping Wen Xiaonuan take the pictures.
