Flying up without Disturb Episode 7 Recap
> Flying up without Disturb Recap
Master Zhong Xi observed the martial arts competition. Kong Hou tried to ask Jin Ling for advice on cultivation, but Jin Ling was completely preoccupied with Zhou Xiao, constantly worrying about him getting hurt in the fight. When Zhou Xiao was eventually injured, Jin Ling immediately rushed to his side to check on him. Meanwhile, Kong Hou remained focused on her spiritual tool, pondering how to make it resonate.
Later, back in her room, Kong Hou was still attempting to make her spiritual tool work when Zhou Xiao arrived. He explained that Master Shuang Qing, feeling apologetic for their previous reception and acknowledging Yuanji Sect's historical ties with Yunhua Sect, wished to present a gift. Zhou Xiao invited Kong Hou to the Treasure Hall to select it. Though initially hesitant, Kong Hou eventually agreed to accept the gesture from Yuanji Sect.
At the Treasure Hall, Kong Hou was captivated by the array of treasures, complimenting Yuanji Sect's collection and its diligent disciples, believing the sect would prosper. Zhou Xiao, seemingly with an internal struggle, acknowledged her kind nature. He then subtly closed the hall's door, activating a barrier that could only be opened from the outside. Kong Hou quickly realized it was a trap.
Outside, Lin Hu reported the activation of the barrier to Master Zhong Xi, confirming that someone had intentionally locked the door and left. Master Zhong Xi learned the barrier could be opened but required spiritual energy. He instructed Lin Hu to maintain watch, stressing that they should not act unless absolutely necessary, but to immediately break the barrier if Kong Hou faced any danger.
Trapped inside, Kong Hou and Zhou Xiao realized they would be stuck until morning when a disciple would come to clean. Kong Hou suggested they combine their spiritual power to break the barrier, but Zhou Xiao informed her that a special Yuanji Sect spell made it impossible to open from the inside without Master Shuang Qing's presence.
Kong Hou noticed Zhou Xiao’s surprising lack of urgency, to which he calmly explained he had been locked up many times as a child and knew help would come by morning. Frustrated, Kong Hou mentioned she would have used her spiritual tools to break out if not for the risk of damaging the precious items around them.
Lin Hu, observing from outside, remarked on how Zhou Xiao had purposefully trapped them, noting his seemingly pleasant demeanor masked ulterior motives, and privately questioned Master Zhong Xi's intense concern for Kong Hou. The next morning, Yuanji Sect disciples discovered Kong Hou and Zhou Xiao in the Treasure Hall. They immediately began spreading rumors about the two of them spending the night alone.
Kong Hou tried to explain that nothing had happened, but Zhou Xiao's vague response only fueled the gossip. When Kong Hou urged Zhou Xiao to clarify, reminding him he was normal last night and not to be swayed by notions of propriety, he remained evasive. The disciples decided to take the matter to Master Shuang Qing. Master Shuang Qing, feigning outrage and concern for Kong Hou's reputation, scolded Zhou Xiao for "ruining" her honor.
Despite Kong Hou’s protests that nothing serious had occurred and that cultivators were not bound by such trivialities, Master Shuang Qing insisted on providing a "proper resolution" for Yunhua Sect. Overruling Kong Hou's objections, he decreed that Zhou Xiao and Kong Hou must marry immediately. The entire sect was swiftly decorated for a festive wedding. Alone, Kong Hou realized she had been manipulated into the marriage. She spoke to Jin Ling, who was also distraught by the turn of events.
Kong Hou acknowledged Jin Ling's feelings for Zhou Xiao, stating that she knew Jin Ling loved him and that their bond was irreplaceable. She urged Jin Ling to pursue her own happiness, asserting that if cultivation meant losing one's true self, it held no meaning. Kong Hou passionately told Jin Ling that she, not Kong Hou, should be the one wearing the bridal gown and encouraged her to fight for a future with Zhou Xiao.
Meanwhile, Master Zhong Xi and Lin Hu discussed the forced marriage. Lin Hu suggested they crash the wedding, revealing that a messenger talisman they had sent out earlier was intercepted, confirming their suspicions about Yuanji Sect's deceptive nature. Lin Hu proposed two plans: either storm the ceremony or covertly rescue Kong Hou at night. Master Zhong Xi, however, decided to wait, trusting Kong Hou’s strong will to not submit easily.
That night, Master Zhong Xi entered the bridal chamber and was surprised to find Jin Ling there instead of Kong Hou. Jin Ling confessed her love to Zhou Xiao, asking if he truly liked Kong Hou and was content to marry her. Zhou Xiao, however, was only concerned about Kong Hou's whereabouts, reiterating that he had to obey Master Shuang Qing's orders. Jin Ling pleaded with him, expressing her continued hope for his affection.
Zhou Xiao then left to report Kong Hou's disappearance to Master Shuang Qing, who was shocked that a Foundation-stage cultivator could break his barrier and ordered all disciples to search for her. Kong Hou, attempting her escape, was caught by a cluster of evil vines. Master Zhong Xi arrived just in time to free her. Instead of taking her away, he instructed her to return to the bridal chamber and buy them more time, promising he would handle the rest.
Kong Hou, though confused by the strange vines and Master Zhong Xi's instructions, returned. As Master Shuang Qing and Zhou Xiao entered, Kong Hou decided to stall, emphasizing the importance of a grand wedding ceremony for such a significant life event, demanding proper rituals and fanfare despite the absence of her own sect's elders. Master Shuang Qing agreed to her demands.
However, to prevent another escape, he placed an immobilization spell on her, informing her it would wear off in two hours when the preparations would be complete. Later, Zhou Xiao brought Kong Hou food and, perhaps out of conscience, revealed Master Shuang Qing's entire scheme. He explained that Yuanji Sect, having struggled to enter the top ten sects, sought external aid. Their plan was to marry Zhou Xiao to Kong Hou, leveraging Yunhua Sect's influence.
Zhou Xiao admitted they had been tracking Kong Hou since her fame grew after the Zhaohan Sect's phoenix incident and that the "dark cultivators" who had attacked her earlier were actually Yuanji disciples in disguise, all part of the setup to bring them together. When Kong Hou pressed him about the mysterious vines that had attacked her, Zhou Xiao seemed genuinely unaware and denied any involvement. Master Zhong Xi found Kong Hou in her room, offering to take her away.
However, Kong Hou refused, determined to uncover the truth behind everything. Master Zhong Xi checked her for injuries from the vines but found no marks. Kong Hou then recalled that the flowers on the vines were identical to those Jin Ling often wore. Although she doubted Jin Ling's involvement, considering Jin Ling had always seemed eager for her departure, the similarity was striking. Meanwhile, Master Zhong Xi had already been investigating the mysterious flowers.
Lin Hu had helped him gather samples, confirming that two identical flowers were found. Master Zhong Xi concluded that the method of draining spiritual energy using these flowers was sinister and could only be performed by dark cultivators adept in herbal poisons. He dispatched Lin Hu to Master Huang Qi's residence for further examination. Soon after, Jin Ling brought food for Kong Hou, expressing her helplessness over the arranged marriage.
Kong Hou took the opportunity to question Jin Ling about the origin of the distinctive flower she used to wear, showing her a drawing of it. Jin Ling said she picked it from the flower field. Realizing Jin Ling could be in danger, Kong Hou tried to warn her, but Jin Ling, now suspicious, borrowed the drawing to investigate herself. Worried for Jin Ling, Kong Hou sought out Master Zhong Xi to go to her aid.
Zhou Xiao, discovering Kong Hou missing, also came looking for her. The three met and rushed to the back courtyard, where they found Jin Ling in danger, attacked by an unknown figure. Master Zhong Xi and Zhou Xiao pursued the attacker while Kong Hou stayed to attend to Jin Ling. During the chase, Zhou Xiao was injured. Master Zhong Xi noted the attacker's familiarity with the terrain, identifying them as someone from Yuanji Sect.
While tending to Zhou Xiao's injuries, he discovered that Zhou Xiao's heart's blood had been taken. Similarly, while healing Jin Ling, Kong Hou made the same alarming discovery about her heart's blood.
