At the piano competition's practice session, Yan Ke's mind was filled with images of Xiong Yifan and Bai Yuze's ambiguous and intimate moments. The anger and jealousy in his heart were fully expressed in his music. Yan Ke played the notes flawlessly, but his state of mind affected the artistic conception conveyed by the music, drawing harsh criticism from the judges, who questioned whether he was relying solely on his looks to achieve his current glory.
Dejected, Yan Ke was about to take his band members back to the practice area when he found it occupied by a rock band. Words turned into action as the two sides clashed. Yan Ke was already in a bad mood. He, who had always been praised as a genius, was experiencing his first taste of others' disapproval, coupled with his emotional setbacks, and he joined the fray.
Xiong Yifan arrived downstairs at the dormitory, ready to reject Bai Yuze's confession, when she happened to receive a message that Yan Ke had gotten into a fight and was in the medical room. Anxious, she simply thought that riding Bai Yuze's motorcycle would be faster, but she didn't expect that Yan Ke's mood would plummet even further upon seeing her arrive with Bai Yuze, naturally putting on a cold face.
Bai Yuze's kindness towards Xiong Yifan was met with coldness, and he blamed Yan Ke for it. Even Xiong Yifan's best friend, Ding Ming, was starting to advise her to consider Bai Yuze. However, Xiong Yifan wasn't listening to anyone at this point, her mind solely focused on how gentle Yan Ke was and how he could possibly get into a fight with others.
To cheer Yan Ke up, Xiong Yifan made egg tarts by herself and recorded encouraging words for Yan Ke using a recording bear. Xiong Yifan originally wanted to record a promise to avenge Yan Ke's fight, but she felt that she was too rude, and eventually recorded the song that Yan Ke taught her to sing. Unexpectedly, the careless Xiong Yifan recorded all her tangled thoughts about what to say into the bear.
However, these words allowed Yan Ke to feel the familiar and dedicated Xiong Yifan. That day, Xiong Yifan received a bouquet of flowers downstairs at the dormitory and was invited out. Expecting it to be Yan Ke's gesture, she was disappointed when she saw that the person who invite her was Bai Yuze.
Seeing that Xiong Yifan was about to leave, Bai Yuze deliberately acted pitiful, claiming that no one cared about his birthday, to coax Xiong Yifan into keeping him company. Bai Yuze took Xiong Yifan horseback riding, sitting on the same horse. Bai Yuze mounted sideways, hugging her from behind, inevitably leading to intimate contact. The two of them spent the whole day dating, eventually getting on a Ferris wheel, just like a sweet little couple.
It wasn't until Xiong Yifan pointed out that it wasn't Bai Yuze's birthday at all, but he showed no panic or guilt about his lie being exposed, and instead forcefully confessed his feelings. Yan Ke was satisfied with Xiong Yifan's gift, thinking about how to ask her out, but he kept deleting the edited text messages.
Comforted by Xiong Yifan, Yan Ke wrote down notes one stroke at a time, intending to calm down and lead the band in practice, but unfortunately, the school had decided to disband the classical band, and the rock band would use the venue instead. Although Xiong Yifan clearly rejected Bai Yuze, the next day, looking at the photos of her and Bai Yuze dating and riding horses, she couldn't help but feel guilty, fearing that Yan Ke would find out.
The two were eating in the cafeteria, and Yan Ke's desire not to be disturbed by others was very obvious, but the oblivious Xiong Yifan never seemed to understand his intentions. Ding Ming received an offer for a part-time job at Bai Yuze's studio and was overjoyed, happily arriving at her workplace, finally able to get closer to her male god. But on the first day, Ding Ming received a call from a woman.
She didn't care at first, as the woman directly called Bai Yuze "Little Bai". However, after getting off work, Ding Ming, who happened to have forgotten something, accidentally ran into Bai Yuze being intimate with another woman.
