The Zichuan Kingdom and the North Clan had been fighting for years, leaving the border people in dire straits. This time, the North Clan commander Gesha led 300,000 troops directly towards Hengchuan, a heavily fortified area on the Zichuan border, appearing determined to take it in one fell swoop. After hearing this news, the deputy commanders of Hengchuan, Bai Chuan, Luo Jie, and Ming Yu, were somewhat worried, but Zichuan Xiu, who was the banner leader, had not appeared yet.

Gesha was known as the North Clan's fiercest general, and this campaign was a sure victory for him. As the two sides were about to engage, Gesha issued three military orders. Just as the third military order was about to be sent, a masked figure hidden in the sand dunes quickly attacked, killing Gesha with a single clean sword strike.
