She told her father she was unharmed and had even wounded the assailant's arm, urging him to pursue them.
Huan Shu sent Xiao Hui to check on Qi Yuanbao, who confirmed she was fine. While attempting to get a closer look at Changyue, Qi Yuanbao accidentally fell from the roof into the hot spring with a splash and a scream. Her cries attracted the guards, who were searching for the intruder. Panicked, Qi Yuanbao begged Changyue not to expose her. Changyue directed the guards to search to the east, allowing her to escape. Once the guards were gone, Changyue revealed his uninjured arm, proving he wasn't the attacker.
Qi Yuanbao, realizing her mistake, chastised him for not revealing the truth sooner, calling him "scheming." As Changyue dressed, people approached. To avoid being discovered, Qi Yuanbao quickly pulled Changyue into hiding, bringing them very close together, which made Changyue uncomfortable.
