While resting under a tree, Qi Yuanbao fell asleep. Changyue joined her, and she leaned onto his shoulder. Groggy upon waking, Qi Yuanbao mistook Changyue for a figment of her dream and kissed him, an advance Changyue did not reject. Qi Yuanbao awoke believing it was just a dream, unaware that her aunt had witnessed the entire scene and vowed to make her life miserable due to her parents' identities, Qi Lian and Xue Yuying.
Elsewhere, Su Qingmu's subordinate reported that Qi Yuanbao had been successfully captured. However, upon removing her mask, Su Qingmu realized he had captured his own daughter, Sun Qianqian, instead of Qi Yuanbao. Sun Qianqian implored her father to end his destructive path and questioned his involvement in the deaths of cultivators. Enraged by the deception, Su Qingmu demanded to know Qi Yuanbao's whereabouts, threatening Sun Qianqian when she revealed that Qi Yuanbao had never gone to Fractured Moon Mountain.
As Su Qingmu threatened to harm his daughter, Qi Yuanbao's father, Qilian, and his group revealed that they had feigned being poisoned and saw through Su Qingmu's scheme. However, Su Qingmu revealed that they had, in fact, been poisoned with Spirit Dispersion. He admitted to knowing their plan to switch the drugs, attributing his success to understanding his daughter better than Qi Yuanbao.
Declaring that his sole objective was Qi Yuanbao, Su Qingmu ordered Xue Hanyu to deliver a message, giving him seven days to bring Qi Yuanbao to him, or Qilian's group would be killed. Xue Hanyu agreed and set off to find Qi Yuanbao and rescue her father's group. Meanwhile, Yixuan invited Changyue to Yangjie Mountain to see the blooming flowers, suggesting it would help with his spiritual recovery.
Changyue initially refused but changed his mind after remembering Qi Yuanbao's remark about the fox tribe children. Feeling excluded from their outing, Qi Yuanbao was approached by Yan Hongzhen, who offered a solution: an invisibility spell to sneak her into their carriage. Overjoyed to be close to Changyue and believing she was unseen, Qi Yuanbao considered kissing him, but Yan Hongzhen stopped her. A sudden jolt broke the spell, exposing Qi Yuanbao and Yan Hongzhen to Changyue and Yixuan.
With their cover blown, they all decided to continue the outing together. While playing shuttlecock with Yan Hongzhen, Qi Yuanbao sprained her ankle. Changyue quickly carried her. Along the way, Qi Yuanbao apologized and vowed not to upset him again. She asked Changyue if he had been moon-gazing recently, confirming that her "dream" had actually happened. She then asked about Mo Hun, a spiritual item that she had previously owned. Changyue explained that abandoned items return to their original owners.
Qi Yuanbao insisted that she never abandoned it and vowed to get Mo Hun back, even if it meant being shameless. Back home, Qi Yuanbao discovered her jade pendant was missing. Suspecting it was at Changyue's residence, she asked him to use his spirit butterfly to find it. The butterfly led them to a cabinet in Changyue's room. Changyue, flustered, insisted the jade pendant wasn't there, claiming the butterfly was malfunctioning, trying to stop her from opening the cabinet.
Seizing an opportunity, Qi Yuanbao opened the cabinet, revealing the old clothes she had gifted him. A palace maid commented on the shabbiness of the clothes compared to Yixuan's gift, but mentioned that Changyue preferred the "mud," implying his fondness for Qi Yuanbao's humble present. Overjoyed, Qi Yuanbao feigned disinterest, telling the maid to throw the clothes away, only to quickly stop her. Meanwhile, Xue Hanyu arrived at the fox tribe but was blocked by a magical barrier.
Remembering that his flute could reach Qi Yuanbao, he played it. Qi Yuanbao, alarmed, arrived to find Xue Hanyu injured. Xue Hanyu informed her that her father's group was in danger. He also presented her with a painting from Qilian, making Qi Yuanbao suspect Su Qingmu's connection to the demon realm. Qi Yuanbao decided to leave with Xue Hanyu to help her father, but first she planned to return something important to Changyue.
