Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox Episode 21 Recap
> Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox Recap
Upon hearing palace maids anxiously calling for Miss Yixuan and learning that Changyue's wound had severely worsened, Qi Yuanbao watched from the side, deeply distressed. Miss Yixuan quickly attended to Changyue, who, despite his excruciating pain, dismissed it, stating he had grown accustomed to the torment of the Soul-Destroying Arrow, an incurable wound that could only be slightly alleviated by medicine.
After Miss Yixuan and the other attendants left, Qi Yuanbao sought out Hufu Lin, an attendant, demanding to know why Changyue's injuries were so dire. Hufu Lin initially refused but then, exasperated, revealed the truth. Changyue's wound was caused by the Heart-Piercing Soul-Erasing Arrow and would never heal, inflicting constant, agonizing pain.
Hufu Lin further disclosed that Qi Yuanbao's own life was saved by Changyue, who had risked his life to retrieve the Perseverance Leaf for her when her heart meridian was shattered. This heroic act was the origin of Changyue's lasting injury. Hufu Lin condemned Qi Yuanbao for her ingratitude, not only for attributing her rescue to others but also for later poisoning Changyue and stabbing him, reopening and worsening his already healing wound.
Hufu Lin pleaded with Qi Yuanbao to show mercy and cease disturbing Changyue. Overwhelmed with guilt and sorrow, Qi Yuanbao tearfully apologized to the unconscious Changyue, vowing that he must find happiness. Later, Qi Yuanbao awoke in a bed with Miss Yixuan by her side. She inquired if there was any hope for Changyue's recovery.
Miss Yixuan confirmed the wound was indeed incurable but offered a way to temporarily ease his suffering: by collecting a rare Frost Bloom nectar using the Autumn Dew Jade Flask. This task required unwavering patience and extreme caution, as the nectar could scatter with the slightest disturbance. Without hesitation, Qi Yuanbao pledged to undertake the arduous task, declaring that no hardship or even death could deter her if it meant alleviating Changyue's pain.
Qi Yuanbao then embarked on the demanding vigil, standing for four days and nights, enduring the elements and even the irritation of bees, holding the Autumn Dew Jade Flask perfectly still. As the critical moment arrived, Miss Yixuan appeared and collected the nectar herself, revealing that Qi Yuanbao's prolonged, static wait was unnecessary; the nectar only needed to be collected at the precise time of its formation.
Miss Yixuan gently suggested that Qi Yuanbao's suffering, though commendable, still paled in comparison to Changyue's sacrifice, a sentiment echoed by everyone in the Northern Abyss. She then handed the precious Frost Bloom nectar to Qi Yuanbao, asking her to deliver it to Changyue. As Qi Yuanbao saw Changyue's wounds again, she was filled with self-reproach.
She also noticed a familiar item in his possession and wondered if he intended to give it to Miss Yixuan, prompting her to question if Changyue was truly going to marry Miss Yixuan. As Qi Yuanbao prepared to leave, Changyue, still partially awake, reached out and grasped her hand, imploring her not to go, leaving Qi Yuanbao in disbelief and profound surprise. Four days later, Changyue awoke.
Believing Qi Yuanbao had already departed the Northern Abyss as per her previous intention, he instructed a maid to prepare pastries for Miss Yixuan as a token of gratitude for her care during his recovery. However, as he arrived at Yilan Hall, he spotted Qi Yuanbao playfully bantering with Yan Hongzhen, enjoying her time in the Northern Abyss. Changyue confronted her, asking why she hadn't left.
Qi Yuanbao candidly replied that she no longer wished to leave because the person she cared for most, Changyue, was there. Changyue remained silent, leaving Qi Yuanbao uncertain if he had truly forgiven her. Meanwhile, Qi Yuanbao's father, Qi Lian, and his entourage were nearing Mount Suiyue. Qi Lian expressed concern over Qi Yuanbao's prolonged absence. Huo Shuya's father subtly warned him against coveting things that were not rightfully his, lest he fall into ruin.
That night, unable to sleep, Qi Yuanbao quietly slipped into Changyue's chamber, finding him deeply asleep. She confided in him, explaining that she couldn't leave yet because she needed to return his heart and soul, an act vital for his ascension and the complete healing of his grievous wounds. She spoke of seeing adorable fox children earlier that day with Yan Hongzhen and yearning for Changyue to take her out to play.
As she spoke, Changyue, in his sleep, turned and embraced her. Qi Yuanbao returned his embrace, playfully remarking on his habit of cuddling in his sleep. Concurrently, Sun Qianqian and Xue Hanyu continued their impersonation of Qi Yuanbao within Qi Lian's group. Huo Shuya, suspicious, had them constantly monitored. With everyone gathered at Mount Suiyue, a conspirator (implied to be Xue Hanyu's master) planned to act that very night to prevent Qi Lian from reaching the Demon Crypt.
That evening, Xue Hanyu brought food to Sun Qianqian, Qi Liu, and other disciples. After consuming the meal, everyone present unexpectedly fainted, revealing a calculated plot to incapacitate Qi Yuanbao's father's group and thwart their mission.
