> Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox Recap

Since ancient times, humans and foxes coexisted peacefully. However, a century ago, a series of disasters plagued the human world. Lingzi, wishing to protect all living beings, intended to sacrifice herself upon coming of age. Yet, the Sky Fox Bichuan, who loved Lingzi, tragically shattered Mount Yue and perished to prevent the sacrifice, inadvertently unleashing demonic energy. Lingzi then used her own mortal body to seal the Zombie King, restoring peace.

From that point on, humans and foxes ceased all interaction and lived separately. Meanwhile, Changyue was preparing for a crucial cultivation, as the Soulful Fruit was on the verge of ripening. Consuming it would allow him to ascend and reinforce the Northern Abyss barrier. Not far away, Qi Yuanbao was having an incredibly lucky streak at a gambling house, winning a substantial amount of money.

Her cousin, Xue Hanyu, nervously urged her to return home, fearing their uncle's wrath for sneaking out. Qi Yuanbao scoffed, declaring that if she was the Qishan Sect's hope, the sect was doomed, as her only desires were wealth and beauty. Just then, Uncle Huan appeared, causing Qi Yuanbao to cleverly feign a fox sighting to distract him and slip away. Attempting to return home, Qi Yuanbao inadvertently stumbled into a mysterious, beautiful place she had never seen before.

Before she could process this sudden change of scenery, Changyue confronted her, sword drawn, demanding to know her identity and how she entered this sacred area. A bewildered Qi Yuanbao explained that she had been in the marketplace just moments ago and had no idea how she ended up there. Changyue then noticed the Soulful Fruit was fully ripe. To his astonishment, instead of flying to him, his soul essence, contained within the fruit, flew directly into Qi Yuanbao's hands.

Confused, Changyue attempted to reclaim the fruit, but in the struggle, they accidentally kissed. At that very moment, the ancient barrier separating humans and foxes shattered, and a red glow emanating from Fragment Moon Mountain signaled an ominous development. Before Changyue could react, Qi Yuanbao, still disoriented, unwittingly ate the Soulful Fruit. Changyue desperately demanded his soul back, but Qi Yuanbao had no idea what he was talking about.

Suddenly, someone caused a distraction behind Qi Yuanbao, leaving Changyue no time to retrieve the fruit. With no other option, he erased Qi Yuanbao's memory of the entire incident. Soon after, Qi Yuanbao's senior brothers and Uncle Huan found her unconscious and quickly brought her back to the Qishan Sect. Simultaneously, Changyue returned to Northern Abyss to inform his Grand Elder about his soul essence being consumed by a mortal.

Deeply concerned, the Grand Elder used a fate chart, which confirmed Changyue's soul was indeed inside Qi Yuanbao, forming a "destined connection"—an ancient, harmful fox clan technique. She emphasized the dire consequences if the soul was not retrieved within seven days before it fully merged with Qi Yuanbao.

She then ordered Hu Bulin to accompany Changyue to the human world to recover his soul and then return immediately to Northern Abyss to repair the shattered barrier, warning Changyue that Qi Yuanbao might be the fox clan's nemesis. Back at the Qishan Sect, Qi Yuanbao awoke with no memory of what had transpired. Her father, Uncle Huan, was perplexed by the sudden resurgence of her spiritual root, which he had believed severed years ago.

He cautioned her to be exceedingly careful when venturing out, never to use her spiritual power recklessly, and to keep its existence a secret. He expressed concern that the recovery of her spiritual root might be linked to the disturbance at Fragment Moon Mountain and the potential return of the Fox Clan. With an important longevity banquet approaching, where cultivators from various sects would gather, any mishap was unthinkable.

Despite the memory erasure, Qi Yuanbao began having strange dreams involving the mysterious man she had encountered. Still restless under house arrest, she dismissed her cousin Xue Hanyu's pleas to behave, stating she was tired of cultivation and preferred a life of carefree enjoyment. She then easily snuck out of the sect with Xue Hanyu to explore the city.

Coincidentally, Changyue and Hu Bulin had also arrived in the human world, with Hu Bulin humorously suggesting that Changyue consider "cultivating love" with Qi Yuanbao, a remark Changyue quickly shut down with a stern warning that he would report him to the Grand Elder. In the city, Qi Yuanbao and Xue Hanyu stopped to listen to a storyteller.

The storyteller spoke of the prominent Qi family and a skilled young woman named Qi Yuanbao, who wielded the Jinghong Sword and fought Su Shen Shen, who used the Glazed Sword, to a draw four years ago. The crowd, however, scoffed, calling Qi Yuanbao the "top playboy" of Beixuan City and discrediting the story, stating that the current Qi Yuanbao was nothing like her past self, having drastically changed after the cultivators' assembly four years ago.

Xue Hanyu questioned Qi Yuanbao about this change, to which she simply replied she had grown tired of cultivating. Suddenly, Su Qianqian, the second young lady of the Su family, appeared and began to mock Qi Yuanbao, calling her a "useless guy" and deeming it a disgrace for her sister to be compared to such trash. Qi Yuanbao retorted, implying Su Qianqian's sister was also "useless."

Undeterred, Su Qianqian further escalated the confrontation by insulting Qi Yuanbao's deceased mother, accusing her of colluding with evil demons and deserving her "untimely death." Enraged, Qi Yuanbao slapped Su Qianqian, demanding an apology for her mother. Su Qianqian refused, brandishing her Seven-Star Whip, and a fierce fight erupted between the two. From a balcony above, Changyue and Hu Bulin observed the commotion.

Hu Bulin, recalling his earlier, naive description of Qishan Sect daughters as virtuous and gentle, was visibly taken aback by Qi Yuanbao's fiery demeanor and vulgar language. Qi Yuanbao ultimately overpowered Su Qianqian, pinning her down and reiterating her demand for an apology to her mother. Su Qianqian, trapped, grudgingly apologized. As Qi Yuanbao released her, Su Qianqian attempted a treacherous sneak attack, but Changyue swiftly intervened, blocking the strike and standing protectively in front of Qi Yuanbao.
