Confess Your Love Episode 11 Recap
> Confess Your Love Recap
The man who had just been released from prison glared fiercely at Lu Xun, believing that Lu Xun was responsible for his miserable life over the past five years. He recounted his suffering in jail, how he lost a finger and endured five years of hardship. He had hoped for a new beginning after prison, but instead, his mother died, his wife abandoned him, and his son committed suicide, leaving him utterly alone with no place in the world.
Lu Xun reminded the man that he should have considered the consequences of his crimes back then, and not claim the moral high ground. The man vehemently denied fault, insisting he was merely drunk and that Lu Xun was to blame for his imprisonment. He accused Lu Xun of trying to sue him for rape, even though the girl herself never dared to press charges, and he was only convicted of intentional injury.
He mockingly observed that Lu Xun, now a hotel chain president, and Lin Chen, masquerading as a small-time artist, were living luxurious lives, a stark contrast to his own. He declared that he wouldn't kill them, but would make them lose everything and be abandoned by society, forcing them to experience the pain he had endured. Lu Xun sternly warned the man not to lay a finger on Lin Chen.
Later, while Lin Chen was having a meal with Zheng Ziyan, a waiter accidentally spilled hot soup. Zheng Ziyan quickly shielded Lin Chen, taking the hot liquid on his own hand. Despite being scalded, he downplayed his injury, saying he looked "cooler with a scar," unlike a girl who needed to worry about marriage. Lin Chen joked that only Harry Potter looked cool with a scar. Lu Xun then joined them at the table.
A fan approached, addressing her as Lin Wan, and asked to take a photo with her and Lu Xun, stating she was a fan of them as a couple. Zheng Ziyan tried to intervene, stating it was inconvenient, but the fan insisted, and he ended up taking the photo for them. After the meal, Lu Xun walked Lin Chen home. She thanked him for sending her back.
Lu Xun then unexpectedly declared his intention to stay the night, citing that her roommate, Meng Jiao, was at work, and he didn't want to stay in any other hotel. When Lin Chen pointed out he was a president and should have a driver or could go to a nearby hotel, he claimed his driver was having a baby and it was raining too heavily for taxis.
Finally, he reminded her of a 115,000 debt she owed him, effectively coercing her into letting him stay. Lin Chen, finding his behavior strange, reluctantly agreed. Later that night, as Lu Xun slept, Lin Chen watched him silently. She found old photographs of Jiangbei No. 47 High School. Lu Xun, awakening, noticed her looking at the photos and commented on her "twin sister," noting their striking resemblance.
Lin Chen revealed that even their mother sometimes couldn't tell them apart, but she implied her sister might be adopted and they weren't close, so her sister's actions were none of her concern. Lu Xun mentioned that he also attended Jiangbei No. 47 High School and asked her sister's name, wondering if he knew her. Lin Chen quickly changed the subject. Suddenly, Lu Xun seemed unwell. Lin Chen noticed he looked pale and had a fever, and she helped him.
While Lu Xun rested, Lin Chen continued to ponder why he had suddenly transferred schools back then and disappeared for six years. Her thoughts drifted to a memory: Lu Xun in a hospital, where a doctor informed his mother that he needed immediate surgery for broken bones, hip necrosis, and a hip replacement.
The doctor explained it was a high-risk, Level 4 surgery, and there was no guarantee of full hip movement recovery without systemic rehabilitation, which wasn't available in China. Lu Xun resisted going to the US for rehab, wanting to attend university locally. His mother pressed him, emphasizing that his father and younger brother were in the US and it was time for his father to do his duty.
She then revealed that the girl involved in the incident hadn't sued the attacker and had moved away overnight, resulting in the attacker only being charged with intentional injury. She insisted that the attacker was bent on revenge and that Lu Xun leaving Jiangbei was the only way to ensure everyone's safety. Lu Xun, understanding the gravity of the situation, relented.
Back in the present, Lin Chen leaned closer to the sleeping Lu Xun, seemingly to touch his face, but Lu Xun's hand suddenly shot out, grabbing her wrist, revealing he was awake.
