Beautiful Reborn Flower Episode 1 Recap
> Beautiful Reborn Flower Recap
On a day a few years ago, Nan Sheng chose to end her life, leaving behind only the Riverbank Diary. Lin Heping treasures this diary, which chronicles the most beautiful days of their youth, and seeing it always brings Nan Sheng back to his mind. He and Nan Sheng were once deeply in love, but she left without a proper goodbye, a departure Lin Heping believes was her way of punishing him.
He works tirelessly, co-founding a curating company with Ah Li, hoping to fill his days and forget the past. He strives to be the diligent man Nan Sheng would have wished to see, and he hopes she can witness the company's growth from heaven. Ah Li, who harbors deep feelings for Lin Heping, patiently stays by his side, hoping to help him move past his grief.
However, when selecting a feature piece for their upcoming art exhibition in Barcelona, Lin Heping insists on a painting with the name "Riverbank," reminding him of Nan Sheng's diary. Ah Li vehemently opposes this, fearing it jeopardizes their company's potential listing because the artist is unknown, and she urges him to forget Nan Sheng. Lin Heping, however, insists on his choice, believing the painting's colors, structure, and creativity perfectly fit their theme.
Ah Li, despite her frustration, relents but not without reminding him that Nan Sheng would not want him to pine for her, and she expresses her willingness to wait for him indefinitely. Lin Heping, in his heart, admits a special liking for the painting, seeing it as a reflection of himself and Nan Sheng, wondering if they can ever reunite in another lifetime.
Meanwhile, Qiao Man, after failing to collect money from a dishonest man named Ben (Hu Jie Ming), suffers a car accident. Though physically unharmed, she experiences an otherworldly vision where she encounters a woman who looks exactly like her. This woman, whom Qiao Man later describes to her best friend, Xiao Zhi, as a fairy with long, flowing locks, claims the space as her territory.
Qiao Man, disoriented, tries to understand how she arrived there, mentioning a large truck, but the woman mysteriously disappears. Upon waking, Qiao Man excitedly recounts her experience to Xiao Zhi, who finds the story baffling. Lin Heping arrives in Barcelona, the city Nan Sheng loved. While strolling through a plaza, he is targeted by a pickpocket. Qiao Man, witnessing the incident, quickly exposes the thief and retrieves Lin Heping's wallet.
After the police take the thief away, Qiao Man removes her wig, revealing a striking resemblance to Nan Sheng. Lin Heping is stunned and asks for her name, which she provides as Qiao Man. As she departs, Lin Heping questions if he is dreaming, unable to shake the feeling of seeing Nan Sheng again. Zhuo Yang, Lin Heping's associate, struggles to secure a suitable exhibition hall in Barcelona due to the bustling tourist season.
The large hall Lin Heping wanted was already booked by a real estate company, where Qiao Man happens to work. Qiao Man is particularly furious after her boyfriend, Han Sen, sabotaged her house viewing by showing up and claiming the villa she was trying to sell—which actually belongs to An Kailun—was his own property, scaring away her clients.
When Zhuo Yang approaches Qiao Man to negotiate for the exhibition hall, Qiao Man, still fuming from her argument with Han Sen and facing complaints from her clients, flatly refuses, asserting her company's right to the venue. Lin Heping, passing a clothing store with Zhuo Yang, spots a beautiful red dress. Remembering Nan Sheng's fondness for red, he decides to buy it for Qiao Man, hoping it will soften her and persuade her to help with the exhibition hall.
He asks Zhuo Yang for Qiao Man's size, and Zhuo Yang suggests it's similar to that of his girlfriend, Xiao Zhi. Later, Han Sen tries to apologize to Qiao Man by waiting outside her home. He records a video on his phone, intending to express his feelings, but instead captures Lin Heping giving Qiao Man the red dress.
Overcome with jealousy, Han Sen immediately instructs his subordinate, Peter, to investigate Lin Heping and ensure he leaves town if he attempts to woo Qiao Man. He also reiterates his demand for An Kailun's winery to vacate 21st Street within three days amidst their ongoing malicious competition. Meanwhile, Lin Heping receives distressing news: their company's art pieces have been intercepted and confiscated by city patrol, who insisted on sending them back to customs for re-clearance.
Zhuo Yang, unable to assist due to a previous customs record that could lead to his deportation, suggests seeking help from An Kailun, the influential owner of Yi Pin Group, who has extensive connections. An Kailun hosts a wine party at his villa, during which he makes a surprising announcement, publicly declaring Qiao Man as his godsister. Everyone is astonished, but Lin Heping, noticing Qiao Man in the red dress he gave her, sees an opportunity.
Knowing Qiao Man is familiar with Barcelona, he decides to ask her to accompany him to the customs office the following day. When Lin Heping approaches An Kailun about the confiscated art pieces, An Kailun offers a non-committal answer, advising him to visit the customs office first and promising to help only if the goods haven't been checked yet. Zhuo Yang recognizes this as a diplomatic brush-off, which infuriates Lin Heping. He warns Zhuo Yang that with only four days left until the exhibition, he must find a concrete solution.
