Be Passionately in Love Episode 21 Recap
> Be Passionately in Love Recap
Xu Zhi was about to head home, but Chen Luzhou had to stay at school and couldn’t go with her—he could only see her off. When Xu Zhi arrived home, her father came to help carry her luggage. Cai Yingying came over to see Xu Zhi, looking very excited and saying Xu Zhi had lost weight.
Xu Zhi said it was finals week over the past two weeks, with exams and a lot of assignments, so of course she had lost weight. Cai Yingying said that once Zhu Yangqi came back, the three of them could meet up for a meal. Xu Zhi agreed, but pointed out that Cai Yingying had been bringing up Zhu Yangqi a lot lately—could it be that she actually liked him?
Cai Yingying admitted it, saying she did like Zhu Yangqi, but she wanted to wait until after she got into college to tell him. She asked Xu Zhi to keep it a secret and not tell anyone. Cai Yingying’s father and Xu Zhi’s father were outside cooking. Cai Yingying’s father asked Xu Zhi’s father what he was thinking—kids would always come home eventually, so would he never tell her?
Xu Zhi’s father said they had discussed it and decided to wait a bit longer. After the meal, Cai Yingying had to go home and was very reluctant to leave Xu Zhi. Xu Zhi said they would still have time to see each other again. Xu Zhi’s father and Xu Zhi both wanted to call their partners but had to find the right time. While watching TV together, they both fell asleep.
After waking up and going to their rooms, they quickly made their calls. Chen Luzhou chatted with Xu Zhi, but Chen Xingqi urged Chen Luzhou to come take a look at a model. Chen Luzhou said he’d stop talking and told Xu Zhi to go to bed early. Xu Zhi’s father had been going out often lately. He used to cook elaborate meals for her every day, but this time he said skipping a meal wasn’t a big deal.
Xu Zhi told Chen Luzhou about it, saying she didn’t know what was going on with her father lately. Xu Zhi’s father got an emergency call and rushed to the hospital. Cai Yingying’s father said there was a fire somewhere and someone injured had been brought to their hospital. Xu Zhi’s father said he was a urologist and wouldn’t be of much help.
Cai Yingying’s father said that Director Wei’s son went to help fight the fire and was now getting checked at their hospital—this was a chance he was creating for him. Xu Zhi’s father went and told him not to worry. Director Wei’s son already knew they were in a relationship. He said if they wanted to date, just go ahead—he wasn’t against it.
Xu Zhi realized her father hadn’t taken his phone and brought it to him, just in time to overhear the conversation. Xu Zhi said her father should’ve told her earlier. She hadn’t met the woman yet and said to find a time to come over for a meal. She then said she’d head out. Chen Luzhou called Xu Zhi, but no one picked up after many tries. He then called Cai Yingying.
Cai Yingying went to check Xu Zhi’s house but didn’t find her there. She told Chen Luzhou not to worry too much and that she would go out and look for her. Xu Zhi had told Li Ke and the others that she had to make a quick trip home and would be back before the holiday. Li Ke said no problem and told Chen Luzhou not to worry either.
When Xu Zhi got home, she saw that Chen Luzhou had called her many times and quickly called him back. She said she had left her phone charging at home and hadn’t seen the calls. Chen Luzhou asked how she was. Xu Zhi said she had found out her father had a girlfriend and was feeling down.
When she learned Chen Luzhou was planning to come back, she told him she was fine, that he had things to do and didn’t need to return. But Chen Luzhou still came back and went to find Xu Zhi, only to unexpectedly run into her father. Chen Luzhou said he had come to deliver some books to Xu Zhi. Xu Zhi’s father took Chen Luzhou’s suitcase away. When Chen Luzhou returned home, Chen Xingqi came over. Chen Luzhou told Chen Xingqi to leave the next day. Chen Luzhou’s mother called and asked if he wanted to spend the New Year together. Chen Luzhou declined.
