Be Passionately in Love Episode 14 Recap
> Be Passionately in Love Recap
Chen Luzhou and Chen Xingqi came out and were shocked by a sudden explosion nearby. Their parents had just returned and saw people fleeing from the direction of the restaurant. A boy covered in blood collapsed in front of them. Chen Luzhou protected Chen Xingqi amid the panicked crowd, and Chen Xingqi was knocked down. Chen Luzhou’s mother called him, and he told her that he and Chen Xingqi were together and safe.
Chen Luzhou’s phone was knocked to the ground and trampled a few times. The phone case came off, revealing the four-leaf clover Xu Zhi had given him. His parents arrived and rushed Chen Xingqi to the hospital. Xu Zhi saw the news and immediately tried calling Chen Luzhou. He saw the call, but his phone was broken and he couldn’t answer.
Chen Luzhou ran everywhere and finally found a phone booth to call Xu Zhi. Xu Zhi asked if he was okay. Chen Luzhou said he was fine, then asked if she missed him. Xu Zhi asked him the same. Chen Luzhou’s mother had a nightmare and got up, overhearing him arguing with his father. His father said they had invested so much to send him abroad, and now he suddenly refused to go.
Chen Luzhou said he was just informing them, not discussing it. His father asked his mother for her opinion. She said that boy covered in blood looked just like Chen Luzhou—she couldn’t accept such a thing. His father said it was just a freak incident. His mother said they should book tickets and return home immediately.
They returned to China. Chen Xingqi, traumatized, fell ill. He wanted ice cream, so Chen Luzhou got off the car to buy it for him. Chen Xingqi felt that ever since the incident, Chen Luzhou had become distant from everyone.
Xu Zhi was leaving for college. Cai Yingying and the others came to see her off. Cai Yingying’s father gave Xu Zhi a big red envelope, saying that when she was six, he had wanted to give her New Year money. Xu Zhi said that if he gave it to her back then, her father would have taken it, so she told him to hold onto it until she went to college.
Inside was 10,000 yuan. Xu Zhi’s father thought it was too much, but Cai Yingying’s father said it was for the kid, so he shouldn’t interfere. Cai Yingying was very reluctant to part with Xu Zhi and promised to go to Beijing next year. When Xu Zhi arrived at school, she greeted her roommates. A senior said there was a mixer and had already signed them up. When Xu Zhi returned to her room, she found one of her earrings missing and went to look for it. Lin Yu, who had performed on stage before, was also there and helped her find it.
Li Ke happened to see them and messaged Chen Luzhou, saying he should have a sense of crisis. Chen Luzhou was looking into college supplementary admissions while his parents argued outside. His father said that even if that country was dangerous, there were other options. His mother said she had promised to send him abroad at 18, but now she couldn’t bear it. She couldn’t accept the possibility of him getting hurt. If he didn’t agree, then they should divorce.
His father was furious and felt betrayed. Chen Luzhou came out. His father said, fine, then divorce it is, and threw something, injuring Chen Luzhou’s hand as he protected his mother. His mother treated the wound. Chen Luzhou said if he just left, many problems would be solved. His mother told him not to think that way—it was an issue between the two of them and they would figure it out.
Chen Xingqi asked if their parents were really going to divorce and who Chen Luzhou would go with. Chen Luzhou said he wouldn’t go with either of them. Chen Xingqi asked if he could go with him. Xu Zhi talked on the phone with Cai Yingying. Cai Yingying had recently overheard her father talking to a colleague. The colleague thought girls didn’t need to study—marriage was more important. But Cai Yingying’s father said studying mattered. She was no worse than anyone else. If she got good grades, she could support him. If she didn’t, he would support her—whether she got married or not didn’t matter.
Xu Zhi had once told Chen Luzhou that she had an old knee injury from childhood that would hurt when it rained. Li Ke brought her some medicine, but it was actually Chen Luzhou who sent it. Li Ke asked Chen Luzhou what was going on—if he liked her, he should just go for it. Why have him pretend to deliver the medicine? Chen Luzhou didn’t say anything.
