As Ming Wei entered, dressed in a gown for an upcoming dinner, the Grand Tutor was captivated, remarking that even the most beautiful flowers faded in her presence. He complimented her for wearing white, noting it gave her a pure, ethereal aura that suited her beauty and elegance.
He then playfully insisted she should only wear white for him before leaning in to kiss her. Meanwhile, Mu Tingzhou found it perplexing that he and Xu Lin were being mistakenly linked as a couple in entertainment news, something that had never happened despite their long history of attending events together. He directly questioned Xu Lin, asking if she had provided misleading information to reporters. Xu Lin vehemently denied any involvement, expressing disbelief that Mu Tingzhou would suspect her.
However, she admitted to not denying the reporters' questions, claiming she was simply "too lazy to explain." She tried to placate him by saying such matters usually lose their heat quickly, but a frustrated Mu Tingzhou, who had always disliked being embroiled in rumors, coldly dismissed her.
Later, Xu Lin placed all the blame on Ming Wei, asserting that Ming Wei deserved the public scrutiny since she, unlike the amnesiac Mu Tingzhou, was fully aware of the situation and should have been mentally prepared.
