Li Guang and Li Mujia had a falling out over the Hongda Aluminum investment. Li Guang decided to cut his losses and stop investing in Wang Dongliang's Hongda Aluminum promptly. This decision left Wang Dongliang stunned. He suspected that Lin Xiaoyue had leaked information to Li Mujia and went home to confront her.

Li Guang wanted to reconcile with Li Mujia but felt embarrassed. He lingered outside Li Mujia's house. Tian Rong saw Li Guang on the surveillance cameras and rushed to find him, hoping he would treat Li Mujia kindly. Li Mujia received a distress call from Lin Xiaoyue and immediately went downstairs. She coincidentally encountered Li Guang. Upon learning that Wang Dongliang had been physically abusing Lin Xiaoyue, Li Guang accompanied Li Mujia to Lin Xiaoyue's home.

Wang Dongliang had physically assaulted Lin Xiaoyue, leaving her with bruises and injuries. Li Mujia and Li Guang arrived in time, and Wang Dongliang tried to explain that he had acted impulsively. He claimed to have a romantic relationship with Lin Xiaoyue. Li Guang severely reprimanded Wang Dongliang and made it clear that the withdrawal of the second investment was unrelated to Lin Xiaoyue. Li Guang had lost confidence in Wang Dongliang due to his questionable character, including falsifying accounts for divorce and resorting to violence against Lin Xiaoyue.

Li Mujia advised Lin Xiaoyue to get a medical examination and hold Wang Dongliang accountable legally. The police arrived shortly after to question Wang Dongliang, who pleaded with Lin Xiaoyue, but she ignored him. Li Guang and Li Mujia left, and Li Mujia realized she had misunderstood Li Guang. She apologized to him, and they reconciled. Li Mujia gathered the courage to propose to Li Guang and expressed her desire to have a home with him. She even suggested signing a prenuptial agreement, wanting to be with him for life. Touched by her words, Li Guang had already prepared an engagement ring and proposed to her on the spot. Li Mujia was deeply moved, and Li Guang placed the ring on her finger.

Li Mujia took Li Guang to an arcade to relax. A young boy challenged Li Mujia in a game, with Li Guang providing guidance. They eventually emerged victorious. Li Guang suggested to Li Mujia that she resign and join the Li Ming Group to work with him, but she politely declined. Li Guang also offered to buy a house for Li Mujia, but she firmly refused, pledging to establish herself independently in Beijing.

At Zhao Aochai's shop, he was absent for some reason, and his two relatives showed a lack of enthusiasm for work. Li Wanbing continued to work diligently but faced criticism and ridicule from the two relatives. A customer came in wanting to build a gaming computer for 5,000 yuan, and the relatives, not understanding the business, made promises to the customer. Li Wanbing advised the customer not to trust their words and recommended spending an additional 10,000 yuan to improve the configuration; otherwise, the computer would be incapable of gaming. The customer, upset, went to another store. Zhao Aochai believed his relatives' attempts to sow discord and immediately fired Li Wanbing, who asked for a week's worth of wages.

Lin Xiaoyue decided to return to her hometown with her daughter, Mao Mao. Before leaving, she bid farewell to Li Mujia and Wu Jianqiu. Lin Xiaoyue reminded Li Mujia and Li Guang to be cautious in their relationship to avoid hurting themselves. Li Mujia firmly believed she could handle it. Mo Dahai was displeased with Li Guang's withdrawal from the investment, but Li Guang believed that Hongda Aluminum had limited potential and advised Mo Dahai to broaden his horizons.

Li Wanbing handed over his salary to Tian Rong, who encouraged him to work diligently. Li Wanbing kept his dismissal a secret. Dr. Zhang Dazhuang unexpectedly called Tian Rong, expressing interest in renting her guest room. Tian Rong was about to leave for Jinlong Bay for a part-time job but rushed home to accommodate Zhang Dazhuang. While Li Wanbing helped a friend assemble a computer, Tian Rong settled Zhang Dazhuang.

Chen Qing visited Li Mujia upon returning from her hometown and inquired curiously about Li Mujia's love life. Li Mujia was open about it and agreed to have dinner with Chen Qing and Li Guang next Monday. Early in the morning, as Tian Rong prepared to leave for work, her mother unexpectedly visited. Tian Rong had not yet informed her parents about obtaining a marriage certificate. She woke up Li Wanbing and hid him along with their wedding photos in Zhang Dazhuang's room.
