Chen Fang insisted that Xue Xiaozhou and Hu Manli had a prior conflict and that Xue Xiaozhou used Cao Ling's case to strike a fatal blow against Hu Manli. Chen Fang reminded Xue Xiaozhou that he shouldn't have gone to see Jin Zhenhua. In a fit of anger, Xue Xiaozhou quit. Xue Xiaozhou packed his things and left. As he went out, he ran into Hu Manli. Hu Manli spoke sarcastically to him, and Xue Xiaozhou retorted.
Hu Manli wanted to go to the company to find Jin Zhenhua, but she couldn't reach Jin Zhenhua by phone. Hu Manli suddenly realized her notebook was missing.
