Wenderella's Diary Episode 10 Recap
> Wenderella's Diary Recap
Upon returning home, Wen Xin promptly ended her relationship with Su Ziguang, stating, "Let's break up." Su Ziguang tried to clarify that they were "never together," but Wen Xin shrugged it off, saying, "It doesn't matter anyway." Soon after, Wen Xin blocked Su Ziguang on social media. Unbeknownst to them, they continued to chat online with anonymous accounts. Wen Xin, under the alias "Pink Big-eyed Spider," vented about "men who are sensitive to reputation, indecent and very childish."
Su Ziguang, as "Golden Assistant," advised staying away from such men and then complained about meeting "an unruly and willful young lady," wondering "what kind of man would like to be with her." "Pink Big-eyed Spider" replied, "I feel sorry for you." Meanwhile, Wen Yajun tried to influence Wen Xin's choices, telling her that Su Ziguang was a "nice young man" and "good for marriage."
Despite Wen Xin's protests that she didn't like him, Wen Yajun dismissed her feelings, stating, "It doesn't matter. You don't like him now, but you will like him someday," comparing it to her dislike of nutritious pork liver, implying it was for her own good. Wen Rou and Han Qing celebrated the Polimoda's "White Dance Shoe" pre-sale breaking records, only to discover that Wanli had also advanced its pre-sale of an identical shoe.
Han Qing initially tried to comfort Wen Rou by comparing sales percentages, but Wen Rou quickly realized Wanli's shoe was "exactly the same as yours." Convinced that Wen Xin had copied her design, Wen Rou declared she would rush to the factory to ensure her shoes were produced first to prove her originality. However, upon arrival, the factory manager informed her that "all goose feathers from the raw material factory were bought out by Wanli," including duck and chicken feathers.
Wen Rou understood Wen Xin was deliberately sabotaging her. When Han Qing asked how Wen Xin had seen the design, Wen Rou explained that "everyone in the family saw it" when she brought the design home. She expressed despair, stating that her parents, Wen Yajun and Cui Xue Lan, would "not take my side," as "it's not the first time things like this happen."
Shan Liang's assistant informed him about the Weibo uproar concerning Polimoda's alleged plagiarism by Wanli, noting that Wen Xin was listed as the designer. Shan Liang consulted with a lawyer who suggested a settlement and an apology from Wen Xin, but also mentioned that proving Wen Rou's earlier creation time would be crucial. Shan Liang declared he had an idea.
Back at the Wen residence, Wen Xin confronted Wen Yajun, asserting that Wen Rou "tricked me first" with Su Ziguang, and claiming Wen Rou had asked Xunmi to set her up with him. She insisted Wen Rou "must pay for what she has done." Wen Rou then stormed in, demanding if Wen Xin was responsible for the copied design.
Wen Xin defiantly admitted, "Yes, I did it," confirming she bought out the raw materials as "repayment" for Wen Rou's perceived trickery. Wen Rou reminded Wen Xin of how she "always gave in to you, take all the blame for you" as a child, questioning if Wen Xin truly believed she had no temper. Wen Rou then directly asked Wen Yajun if he would still "defend her" given he saw her design draft.
Wen Yajun brought up the Su Ziguang incident and proposed a "solution": both sisters had made mistakes, so they should "pull your new shoes off the shelf, and this is over." Wen Rou vehemently disagreed. Cui Xue Lan tried to persuade her to compromise, but Wen Rou lashed out, accusing her mother of consistently tolerating Wen Xin and sacrificing her to "fit into this family," living "without any self-esteem."
Wen Rou recalled how Cui Xue Lan had given her painting to Wen Xin and lied to her teacher. She also confronted her mother, stating that Cui Xue Lan knew the truth about the childhood water-pouring incident but remained silent. Wen Rou declared that even though she wasn't Wen Yajun's biological child, everyone now knew Wen Xin was the plagiarist, yet they were still trying to persuade her to drop the matter.
Ignoring Wen Rou's pleas, Wen Yajun declared the copied shoe would be a major new product for Wanli, ordering its immediate mass production. Shan Liang arrived, trying to calm Wen Rou and suggest communication. However, Wen Rou, overwhelmed, expressed her long-standing grievances, feeling like "the extra one" in the family, her father always favoring Wen Xin, and her mother passively tolerating injustice. She then looked at Shan Liang, tearfully saying, "Then I met you.
I thought I could get your favor, just like Wen Xin got my parents'. Looks like I was wrong," before storming out, declaring she didn't want to stay for another second. Wen Rou told Shan Liang to stop following her, saying she needed time to be alone and assuring him she wouldn't "do silly things." Later, Wen Xin confronted Wen Yajun about Wen Rou's accusation regarding the water-pouring incident.
Wen Yajun admitted he knew Wen Xin was responsible but explained he kept silent because Wen Xin "cares about it" and he believed "with that shame, you will work harder to defeat Wen Rou." Wen Xin questioned if that was the "only reason," but Wen Yajun dismissed her, saying he was busy. Unable to reach Wen Rou, Shan Liang called Han Qing, who jokingly suggested a divorce but then empathized with Wen Rou's situation.
Han Qing explained Wen Rou's deep sensitivity, recounting how Cui Xue Lan forced Wen Rou to call Wen Yajun "dad" while Wen Xin continued to call her "auntie." She further detailed Wen Yajun's consistent favoritism towards Wen Xin and how Wen Rou was sent to a boarding school for a minor mistake, leaving her with "no one to rely on."
Han Qing reiterated Wen Rou's earlier sentiment about Shan Liang being her primary support and how his words hurt her deeply. Shan Liang acknowledged his mistake, and Han Qing then informed him that Wen Rou was at his father's farmhouse. At the gym, Wen Xin was intensely working out when Su Ziguang approached her, offering to help with stretching to prevent injury. Wen Xin, initially dismissive, eventually accepted his help.
Su Ziguang noticed her distress and asked why she was training so hard. She confided, "Something happened," clarifying, "It's not about me. It's Wen Rou." Su Ziguang was surprised and asked, "What's going on?" Realizing he was out of the loop, Wen Xin told him to "check the news." Shan Liang arrived at his father's farmhouse, where his father was proudly tending to a white goose he had raised for two months.
Wen Rou, observing the goose's "pure natural" feathers, found new inspiration for her shoe design. Shan Liang's father mentioned Wen Xin's plagiarism and monopoly on raw materials. Wen Rou expressed her desire to at least create a single finished product of her design. Shan Liang watched her work, then spoke to his father, asking him to let Wen Rou stay and take good care of her, providing a list of her preferences via WeChat.
His father, noticing goose feathers on Shan Liang, remarked about his care for Wen Rou. Shan Liang then gave his father Wen Rou's pillow, explaining she "can't sleep without this," and asked him to give it to her. Later, Shan Liang's father presented the pillow to Wen Rou, joking that it was from a "bad guy" who thought she couldn't sleep without it. Wen Rou initially feigned indifference but held onto the pillow as she worked.
Seeing her finished shoe, Wen Rou admitted to her father that her anger was mostly directed at herself for being so sensitive and insecure about her family issues, especially when Shan Liang became involved. Her father reassured her about Shan Liang's reliability and suggested that what she perceived "may not be the way you saw it." Shan Liang's assistant informed him that the work registration certificate for Wen Rou's shoe was being delivered that afternoon.
Shan Liang had previously arranged to secure Lixing Group's investment by offering a tutor for President Sun's daughter, rather than generic gifts. Shan Liang met President Sun, who was coincidentally with Wen Yajun. Wen Yajun introduced Shan Liang as his "son-in-law." Shan Liang emphasized that he wanted their partnership to be based on Xunmi's potential, not personal ties. Later, Shan Liang's assistant asked about Wen Rou's plagiarism case.
Shan Liang stated they would proceed and explained that he hadn't told Wen Rou his full plan to spare her potential disappointment if it failed. He chose her anger over her sadness. Shan Liang instructed his assistant to go to Wen Yajun's house before Wanli's celebration party that evening. At Wen Yajun's house, Shan Liang presented the "Work Registration Certificate" for the Feather Shoe, explicitly listing Wen Rou as the author.
He revealed that he registered the copyright for all of Wen Rou's designs the day after she completed them. Shan Liang declared his intention "to get back what belongs to Wen Rou." Wen Yajun angrily called him an "outsider," but Shan Liang retorted that in his and Wen Rou's family, Wen Yajun was the "outsider." Wen Yajun tried to justify his bias by saying it was difficult to be impartial between his biological daughter and stepdaughter.
Shan Liang countered, stating that their only similarity was having a favored person, but unlike Wen Yajun who used wealth to solve problems, he used his heart. He asserted that Wen Rou never wanted money, but love and care.
Shan Liang then laid out three conditions: first, Wanli's official Weibo must change the designer of the Feather Shoe to Wen Rou; second, the copyright for the Red Dance Shoe must be returned to Wen Rou; and third, Wen Yajun must stop buying silver products for Wen Rou, as she is allergic. As Shan Liang prepared to leave, he added one more crucial detail: "Wen Rou did pour water on others. But she didn't mean to bully anyone.
She did it to save me." Shortly after, Wen Rou received a call from Han Qing, who excitedly told her to check Wanli's official Weibo, where her name was now listed as the designer of the Feather Shoe.
Han Qing proudly claimed credit, detailing how she had told Shan Liang "a lot about your past," including how her father was partial, her suffering at home, being sent to boarding school after a small mistake, and how the water-pouring incident was "the reason for your misfortune," all to inspire Shan Liang's "desire to protect you." Horrified, Wen Rou exclaimed, "Stop! You made a big trouble!" She realized that Wen Xin, already furious, would now be even more enraged if she discovered Shan Liang was the boy Wen Rou protected, leading to a complete disaster.
