Hu Li confessed his love to Ji Nian, asking if she liked him despite the lies. Ji Nian, calling herself a liar and unworthy, was quickly reassured by Hu Li that she was indeed worthy. Hu Li playfully acknowledged that he knew Ji Nian's "acting" about the broken television was fake, admitting he wanted to discover Ji Nian's true self and understand his own identity through her. He declared himself "an ordinary Shi Tou" and Ji Nian "the shining Mantou."
When Ji Nian tried to reverse their roles, stating he was "the shining Hu Li" and she "the ordinary Ji Nian," Hu Li playfully questioned why she had become so timid. Later, Ji Nian suggested Hu Li rest at home, but he perceived it as her trying to dismiss him.
He asked her to stop being indecisive and to embark on a fresh start together, reminding her he preferred to be called Shi Tou, her personal "Shi Tou," not the superstar Hu Li. Luo Li later revealed to a guilt-ridden Ji Nian that Hu Li had taken a three-month salary advance from Fiona just to buy her a birthday gift, explaining why he was so busy at the cafe. This revelation deepened Ji Nian's remorse for her harshness. Later that night, Hu Li and Bai Dongchen, dressed elaborately in drag, went to the bar.
Zhuo Yuan, mistaking Hu Li for a woman, tried to flirt, only to be shocked when Hu Li revealed his male voice. Ji Nian, who was at the cafe with Luo Li, soon learned about the humorous prank. Hu Li and Bai Dongchen, still in their costumes, arrived at the cafe, and Ji Nian, amused and touched by their efforts, admitted her previous harshness was wrong.

Hu Li, feeling victorious, then asked for a reward, but Ji Nian, still conflicted, asked him not to do dangerous things and to leave her alone for a while.
