Unrequited Love Episode 23 Recap
> Unrequited Love Recap
In August 2008, Zhang Mingrui and Luo Zhi sat together eating hotpot. They discussed their plans after graduation and the recent situation of Zhang Mingrui's roommates, both feeling that time was passing quickly. Zhang Mingrui laughingly told Luo Zhi that he still had a video on his computer of him betting with others to eat noodles while riding a bicycle, and Luo Zhi's figure was also in it. Luo Zhi smiled faintly.
Zhang Mingrui continued to chatter, bringing up that it was Qixi Festival today, and suggested that he and Luo Zhi might as well make do and celebrate together. Luo Zhi did not respond. Zhang Mingrui understood that he had been rejected again. Zhang Mingrui unhappily bought a pile of ice cream and walked back. Unexpectedly, he accidentally bumped into a junior schoolgirl halfway, and the spring of Zhang Mingrui's love finally arrived.
Time flew by, and soon it was spring 2009. Jiang Baili finally returned in high spirits. She had matured a lot and was happier, no longer the girl who only knew how to revolve around Ge Bi. Zhang Mingrui and the junior schoolgirl fell in love. They were taking photos affectionately outside, very joyful. Zhang Mingrui even specially bought a new camera to take pictures for his girlfriend.
What surprised him was that he accidentally met Sheng Huainan at the digital store. Zhang Mingrui and Sheng Huainan came to a milk tea shop to chat. Sheng Huainan told him that he was preparing to go abroad and was working odd jobs here while he had free time. Zhang Mingrui scratched his head.
He couldn't help but laugh, saying that even if Sheng Huainan wasted ten years and started over, he would still be a favored son of heaven stronger than anyone else. Sheng Huainan was a bit embarrassed. Zhang Mingrui began chatting about the recent situations of their other dorm mates. Finally, he inevitably brought up Luo Zhi, hoping that Sheng Huainan could figure things out and get back together with Luo Zhi. Sheng Huainan remained silent. Zhang Mingrui couldn't hold back.
He recalled that he had just started liking Xu Riqing, but unexpectedly Xu Riqing had a crush on Sheng Huainan. Later, he liked Luo Zhi in a law class, but unexpectedly Sheng Huainan again stole her affection. What was even more annoying was that Sheng Huainan had quietly dumped Luo Zhi, which was simply too much. Sheng Huainan knew that Zhang Mingrui genuinely wanted to reconcile him and Luo Zhi. He chuckled, not blaming Zhang Mingrui for speaking so freely.
Although Sheng Huainan was working, he did not forget to keep Luo Zhi's diary with him. He ate his simple lunch while reading Luo Zhi's diary, his heart full of longing. The school organized a Top Ten Singers competition. Zhang Mingrui urged the entire dorm to sign up together, so as not to leave any regrets in their university life. Soon, the singing competition began. Luo Zhi and Jiang Baili both eagerly went to watch.
What Jiang Baili didn't expect was that Ge Bi went on stage and sang "Exclusive Memory," a song he had dedicated to Jiang Baili. Listening to Ge Bi's voice, Jiang Baili's heart was filled with mixed emotions. She couldn't help but recall every bit of her experiences with Ge Bi, vivid in her memory, but that was all in the past, and she could never go back.
Jiang Baili took a deep breath and spontaneously signed up to sing on stage. She took Ge Bi's microphone and ended up singing "I Love Beijing Tiananmen." Amidst the cheerful melody, Jiang Baili's smile bloomed like a flower, but her eyes seemed to be glistening with tears.
