Ting Yi, a favored contender, confidently declared her intent to defeat Bai Cao in their upcoming match, garnering significant media attention. When pressed by reporters, Ting Hao skillfully dodged the question of who he supported, later expressing his hope that the match wouldn't happen. Bai Cao, having pushed herself in training, suffered a swollen right leg. Chang An urged her to withdraw, but Bai Cao tearfully pleaded to compete, unwilling to give up despite potential defeat or worsening injury.

Ting Hao then met with Chang An, attempting to persuade him to convince Bai Cao to pull out, citing Ting Yi's formidable current form. However, Chang An found himself unable to refuse Bai Cao's earnest pleas, believing she had every right to compete. Ting Yi harbored a deep resentment towards Bai Cao, seeking revenge for "stealing her Chu Yuan brother and everything that belonged to her."

At the arena, Ting Hao advised Ting Yi to conserve her strength for the finals, but she, detecting his concern for Bai Cao, declared her intention to mercilessly defeat her rival. The match began with Ting Yi's fierce offensive. Despite Bai Cao's agile defense, Ting Yi quickly identified her injured right leg and relentlessly targeted it.

During a break, Ting Hao admonished Ting Yi for using such a "despicable tactic" that was against martial arts ethics, but Ting Yi dismissed it as a "conventional tactic" and ignored his pleas, driven solely by her desire for victory. She explicitly stated she wanted to make Bai Cao "return what she took little by little," refusing to end the match quickly even with her powerful "Thunderbolt Kick." Chang An massaged Bai Cao's injured leg, urging her to protect herself.

Ting Yi continued her aggressive assault on Bai Cao's right side. Bai Cao, though suffering immense pain, valiantly endured, even after being knocked down by Ting Yi's devastating "Thunderbolt Kick." Her unwavering resilience moved the crowd, with Xiao Ying leading a chant of support. Bai Cao, pushing past her pain, launched a desperate counter-attack, unleashing a ""Tornado triple kick"". Ting Yi, overconfident, was caught off guard and struck in the head, collapsing unconscious.

Bai Cao, too, succumbed to exhaustion and pain, fainting on the mat. Both fighters were rushed to the hospital. Ting Yi's condition was critical; she never regained consciousness and was declared a ""vegetable"" due to severe brain trauma. Ting Hao's grandfather arrived, deeply pained by the news. He blamed Ting Hao for failing to protect Ting Yi and condemned Bai Cao for fighting so ruthlessly.

Old Master Wan also expressed his sorrow and anger, stating that Bai Cao was unworthy of practicing martial arts. When Xiao Ying attempted to defend Bai Cao by pointing out Ting Yi's intent to cripple her, Bai Cao stopped her, and Old Master Wan, heartbroken by Ting Yi's state, insisted that no ill should be spoken of her.
