Early in the morning, as Bai Cao was combing her hair, Chang An gently tucked a stray wisp behind her ear, highlighting the growing intimacy between them. Later at the arena, Bai Cao was surprised to see Jin Min Zhu. Min Zhu declared she was there specifically to cheer Bai Cao on, because she wanted Bai Cao to win so they could face each other in the finals.

Bai Cao then introduced her coach, Chang An, to Min Zhu and Min Sheng Hao from Chang Hai Martial Arts Hall. Min Zhu recognized Chang An as a former instructor from Feng Yun Hall, but Chang An curtly replied he was "not anymore." Min Zhu commented on his rudeness, to which Chang An retorted that the same applied to girls. Just before her match, Bai Cao realized her strawberry hairpin was missing.

She grew anxious, explaining to Chang An that the hairpin was a gift from Ruo Bai, and she couldn't bear to lose it again, fearing Ruo Bai would be angry. Chang An reassured her, telling her to focus on the competition while he would go find it. He emphasized that she was the one fighting, not the hairpin, and she couldn't let anyone she cared about be disappointed. Bai Cao agreed.

Chang An then rushed back to their hotel to search for the hairpin. In his haste, he accidentally bumped into a table, causing his old leg injury to flare up. Unable to find the hairpin at the hotel, he frantically searched various shops for a similar one, but to no avail. Meanwhile, the match began with Bai Cao facing Jia Teng Yin Bai He. Bai Cao was visibly distracted and unfocused, leading Yin Bai He to successfully land a kick.

Watching the live broadcast from Anyang, Ting Hao, who had initially said he wished Bai Cao would lose, became concerned when he saw her performance and realized Chang An wasn't by her side, prompting his companion to remark that love could truly make a person confused. During halftime, Jin Min Zhu approached Bai Cao, commanding her not to cry and demanding she not lose.

Min Zhu declared that since Bai Cao could defeat her, she must be able to defeat Jia Teng, urging Bai Cao to win for her coach. Away from the arena, Chang An was still searching for the hairpin when he unexpectedly saved a young female student from a near-accident. Noticing she had a strawberry hairpin, Chang An asked her if he could have it, and she willingly gave it to him.

Back in the match, Bai Cao unleashed her Dual Whirlwind Triple Kick, but Yin Bai He had already countered it, kicking Bai Cao again. Yin Bai He then used an advanced six-petal Sakura Spin, leaving Bai Cao momentarily stunned. Just as Bai Cao was caught off guard, Chang An appeared, shouting a reminder for her to dodge right. Bai Cao skillfully evaded the move. Upon seeing the strawberry hairpin in Chang An's hand, her spirit was instantly reignited.

Feeling she had "found what she lost," Bai Cao adopted an aggressive fighting style, pressing Yin Bai He relentlessly. With Chang An's encouragement to "keep attacking," Bai Cao delivered a powerful final blow, leaving Yin Bai He injured and unable to continue, securing Bai Cao's victory by knockout. After the match, Bai Cao excitedly approached Chang An for the hairpin, only to discover it wasn't her original one, which had a specific crack.

She accused Chang An of deceiving her, explaining that the hairpin held immense sentimental value tied to Ruo Bai. Chang An acknowledged he had bought a replacement, arguing it was just a symbol of Ruo Bai's presence and a feeling of security, and that she had proven she could win without it. Bai Cao refuted his words, insisting it was more than just a competition; it was about the person she loved.

Chang An tried to tell her that Ruo Bai was dead and would not return, urging her not to let a "dead person be a burden." Bai Cao defiantly interrupted him, stating that what he considered a burden was an irreplaceable treasure to her, the only thing Ruo Bai had left her. She cried, saying that losing it felt like losing him, and she didn't know how she would face him if he returned.

Chang An reiterated that Ruo Bai was dead, but Bai Cao firmly declared, "He didn't die! Ruo Bai can't die." She then rushed off to find her original hairpin. Despite his throbbing leg injury, Chang An applied ointment and went out to search for her. Bai Cao meticulously searched along the path they had taken since arriving in Japan, but found no trace of the hairpin. Overwhelmed by her longing for Ruo Bai, she eventually sought solace at a temple.

There, she wrote "Ruo Bai, come back" on a wishing plaque, remembering Chang An's painful words that Ruo Bai was gone forever. A kind temple worker offered her a handkerchief and a bowl of tea, asking if the person causing her such sorrow was no longer around. Bai Cao confessed that everyone said he was gone, but she believed he was still there and would return, though she didn't know when.

On her way back, Bai Cao unexpectedly spotted her hairpin in a corner by a snack stall. It turned out Chang An had accidentally knocked it off when he offered to carry her bag earlier. Just as she reached for it, a dog snatched the hairpin and ran off. Bai Cao desperately chased it, only to lose sight of the dog at a fountain, fearing she had lost it again.

However, a glimmer in the sunlight on the ground caught her eye—it was the strawberry hairpin. With a joyous cry, Bai Cao picked it up and, looking up, saw Chang An across the fountain, frantically searching for her.
