Take My Brother Away Episode 28 Recap
> Take My Brother Away Recap
Shi Fen confronts Shi Miao for spending their travel fund. When Director Yuan calls for a home visit, Shi Miao snatches the phone and confirms she will not drop out of school. On her way to school, she is met by Cheng Haonan, who wants to take her to see Fang Jie. Hao Ren intervenes, believing Cheng Haonan is bullying a good student.
Hao Ren is conducting a survey for the "Top Ten Teenager" award and sees Shi Miao as a candidate from a poor background, hoping to find a tragic story for her application. Annoyed by what she perceives as pity, Shi Miao rejects the nomination and decides to join Cheng Haonan. Putting on a wig, Shi Miao meets Fang Jie, the leader of a delinquent girl gang.
Fang Jie encourages Shi Miao to face reality and be herself, assuring her that the gang will support her. She gives Shi Miao a dramatic makeover, but Shi Miao’s hesitation is seen as a slight. Shi Miao apologizes, only to learn Fang Jie's primary rule is "never say sorry," as doing so is the beginning of being yourself. Shi Miao returns to school with her heavy makeup and new attitude, kicking two students on duty.
Director Yuan stops her and demands to see her parents, but she claims she has none. In class, she pushes her friend Miao Miaomiao away, declaring that she is a delinquent and they are no longer alike. The school faculty holds a meeting about Shi Miao's behavior. Shi Fen, brought in by the school nurse as her guardian, suggests her problem is simply too little homework and states he has decided on a "free-range" approach to raising her.
As an initiation task, Fang Jie orders Shi Miao to deface the school’s honor roll. Shi Miao sprays paint over the photos of top students, spraying anyone who tries to intervene. Zhen Kaixin and Wan Sui stand in her way, expressing their concern, but she sprays them as well. Shi Fen arrives and yells at her, questioning if her pride is that important. They argue, and she sprays him before he smashes the can.
Feeling defeated, Shi Fen is approached by Wang Keke, who insists he is the only one who can save Shi Miao, as life is boring without a rival. Taking her words to heart, Shi Fen seeks help from their father, Shi Zhen. They concoct a plan for Shi Zhen's old gang buddies to scare Shi Miao so he can swoop in and save her.
However, his friends are now middle-aged men who bungle the plan, capturing and terrifying three other students by mistake. Meanwhile, Shi Miao follows Cheng Haonan, bullying younger children, but runs away when she spots her mother in a passing car. Later, Cheng Haonan takes her to a tattoo parlor for the final initiation rite. Shi Fen and Shi Zhen see them go inside. Terrified of needles, Shi Miao refuses the tattoo and screams for help.
Shi Zhen bursts in but is quickly intimidated and leaves, much to Shi Miao's disappointment. However, he returns with two spray cans from his car and starts a spray-fight with the gang. In the chaos, he cuts the power, grabs Shi Miao's hand in the dark, and they escape. Shi Zhen speeds off with Shi Miao, completely forgetting Shi Fen. He stops on the road to buy a snack she loved as a child.
As she eats, Shi Miao breaks down, crying and apologizing to her father. She admits she is tired of being a bad kid and collapses into his arms. Sometime later, Director Yuan is seen fixing the electricity at Fang Jie's place; he is her father. Fang Jie goes to have her tattoo removed, wanting to return to school and start over. Shi Fen appears and tattoos the words "Start Anew" on her back.
