Shi Miao has a nightmare that the school doctor and the school janitor have become her and Shi Fen's parents, with Shi Fen taking their side. Waking up, she scolds her brother. In the morning, Shi Fen is preparing spicy scallops for the janitor, whom he calls his "long-lost father," earning him a beating from Shi Miao. In class, Shi Miao helps Miao Miaomiao sharpen all her colored pencils for a poster project.
Deciding the pencils aren't good enough, Shi Miao goes to the school clinic to borrow markers. There, she notices the school doctor is acting lovesick and drawing hearts. The doctor confesses she has fallen for a middle-aged man. Fearing her nightmare is coming true, Shi Miao tries to talk the doctor out of the relationship. Meanwhile, the janitor is eating Shi Fen's scallops while on a call with an informant who uses a female-sounding voice changer.
The scallops are so spicy that he runs out for water, bumping into Shi Miao. She orders him to fix a lightbulb in her classroom as a pretext to sneak into his room. Inside, she answers his still-connected phone, hears a woman's voice hang up, and finds a thermal printer with many notes, concluding he is involved with other women. After fixing the light, the janitor notices Wan Xing has been absent for days.
Worried his cover is blown, he rushes to Shi Fen's class and finds Wan Sui is also missing. He grows suspicious of Shi Fen, who then admits he's been hiding his plan to enter a model ship design competition. Suddenly, the janitor has trouble breathing and accuses Shi Fen of poisoning him. Shi Fen rushes the janitor to the clinic, where Shi Miao is already telling the doctor that the janitor is cheating on her.
The doctor ignores Shi Miao and treats the janitor. During the examination, the janitor has an emotional breakdown, claiming a woman ruined his life. Spurred on by the doctor, he confesses his feelings for her. She reciprocates, and they embrace, with Shi Fen joining in for a group hug. Horrified that her nightmare has become reality, Shi Miao screams and runs out.
Back in her classroom, Shi Miao misinterprets a scene and pushes Wang Keke, who was actually helping Miao Miaomiao after she choked on candy. When Shi Miao explains she was trying to stop the janitor and doctor's romance, Miao Miaomiao gets angry and calls her a control freak. The janitor, whose real name is Wan Yi, returns to his office, but his informant appears.
The informant warns him that Wan Sui and Wan Xing have been moved to Dubai and that his romance is likely a trap to slow down his plans. Wan Yi suspects Shi Fen is behind it all and decides to get answers. He invites Shi Fen to his boat, intending to get him drunk with "drunken shrimp" laced with liquor. As they eat, both become intoxicated.
Wan Yi reveals his past: he was a poor child who became a wealthy tycoon in Cyprus, only to be framed by a woman and imprisoned for sixteen years. His revenge plan is to kidnap his grandsons, Wan Sui and Wan Xing, to force the woman to return his company shares. Upon hearing his tragic story, the equally drunk Shi Fen bonds with him, and they become sworn brothers. Meanwhile, Zhen Kaixin finds Shi Miao working late on the poster.
She confides in him that her friends called her a control freak. Zhen Kaixin reassures her, saying she just has a spirit of dedication, and the two find common ground. Shi Fen returns home drunk, bringing leftovers for Shi Miao, who helps him to bed. The next morning, Wan Yi wakes up on his boat and becomes suspicious of Shi Fen again. However, Shi Fen soon arrives with a new smartphone he bought for Wan Yi. He teaches the old man how to play games on it, and Wan Yi becomes completely absorbed, his suspicions forgotten.
