Li Xiaoyao, who grew up with his aunt since childhood, often had a strange dream. He dreamt of becoming a great hero, battling the water monster for seven days and seven nights under the sea. After a great victory over the water monster, he became a famous hero far and wide. He couldn't help but laugh out loud in his dream. Immediately after, his aunt hit an iron pot near his ear, startling Li Xiaoyao awake from his heroic dream.

It is said that Li Xiaoyao's parents were a generation of great heroes. After giving birth to Li Xiaoyao, they entrusted him to his aunt, Li Daniang, and then traveled the world. Li Daniang runs an inn and worked hard to raise Li Xiaiaoyao. She often warned Li Xiaoyao not to daydream and to diligently do chores at the inn. This day, several merchants from Nanzhao checked into the inn.

The merchants were generous, so Li Daniang quickly cooked meals and also asked Li Xiaoyao to serve them diligently. After receiving a few taels of silver pieces, Li Xiaoyao worked even harder. When delivering food to the merchants' rooms, he accidentally overheard two of them discussing rumors about an immortal island. One merchant suggested taking the opportunity of this trip to Yuhang to visit the immortal island. Li Xiaoyao, unable to suppress his curiosity, inquired about the island's location.

The merchant explained that he had only heard it through hearsay and not to take it seriously. The Osmanthus wine prepared by Li Daniang was not to the merchants' taste. As Li Xiaoyao was preparing to go out to deliver food, a beggar was sitting by the door and asked Li Xiaoyao for wine. Before Li Xiaoyao could agree, the beggar snatched the Osmanthus wine and drank it all. It turned out to be Jiu Jian Xian.

After a few gulps of wine, Jiu Jian Xian laughed directly at Li Xiaoyao and even declared that Li Xiaoyao was a chosen person. Li Xiaoyao did not know Jiu Jian Xian's identity, but he was very happy to hear the praise. Li Xiaoyao kept looking at the treasured sword in his hand.

Jiu Jian Xian told Li Xiaoyao that if he wanted to learn swordsmanship, they should meet at the Broken Mountain Shrine ten li away at the third watch of the night. After delivering the food, Li Xiaoyao heard that the young Wang Xiaohu had gone to the immortal island a few days prior to find an immortal elixir for his grandfather. His friends all mocked Wang Xiaohu for bragging. The two of them played a prank on their friends.

Li Xiaoyao went to the red bean porridge shop run by Ding Xianglan to fetch a food box. Her sister Ding Xiulan suggested inquiring with the fisherman Zhang Sige about whether an immortal island truly existed, as Zhang Sige had saved Wang Xiaohu who was floating in the water. After Li Xiaoyao personally asked Zhang Sige, he also felt it was strange. He had lived in Yuhang for 19 years and had never heard of an immortal island before.

As he was preparing to return to the inn, Ding Xiulan suddenly sent word that Li Daniang had fainted. Upon returning to the inn, Hong Daifu told Li Xiaoyao that Li Daniang had fainted due to excessive fatigue and might not have much time left. Li Xiaoyao immediately decided to find the immortal island to seek the so-called immortal elixir that Wang Xiaohu mentioned, in order to cure his aunt's illness.

He then found the merchants, inquired about the location of the immortal island, and set off alone. He didn't know how long he had drifted at sea. When Li Xiaoyao woke up, he was indeed lying on an island. Using the drumstick given by the merchant to strike the mountain, a wonderland immediately appeared before his eyes. As Li Xiaoyao was looking around, an immortal maiden walked up to him.

She carefully examined Li Xiaoyao for a moment and actually called out his name. Li Xiaoyao was surprised. He had clearly come to the island for the first time, so why did the immortal maiden know his name? Without time to think further, Li Xiaoyao stated the purpose of his trip. The immortal maiden agreed to give him medicine. As the two went to the alchemy room to get the medicine, they were suddenly stopped by a white-haired old woman.

The immortal maiden said the man was Li Xiaoyao. The old woman hurried forward to look closely, and suddenly called Li Xiaoyao her benefactor. Li Xiaoyao was confused, and only heard the old woman explain that the immortal maiden was the Princess of Nanzhao Kingdom, named Zhao Ling'er. Ten years ago, Li Xiaoyao had shown great kindness to Nanzhao Kingdom by saving lives.

Li Xiaoyao was focused on returning to Yuhang to save his aunt, but the old woman said there was no need to rush. The Purple Gold Elixir could bring people back to life, and the most important thing now was to fulfill the promise made with Zhao Ling'er ten years ago.
