The baseball team welcomed a new member, Ding Xiaoyu. As Li Di and Tian Tiande prepared to play, Wang Yanyi immediately introduced himself to Ding Xiaoyu, expressing his enjoyment of watching girls play baseball. He also acknowledged Tian Tiande as a senior from their school baseball team. Tian Tiande introduced Su Mu as a friend before inviting everyone to play.
While Su Mu watched Tian Tiande, Wang Yanyi tried to get closer to Ding Xiaoyu, commenting on how good-looking girls who play baseball are. Wang Yanyi then attempted to teach Ding Xiaoyu how to pitch, but struggled with the demonstration himself. After Ding Xiaoyu successfully pitched, Li Di jokingly accused Wang Yanyi of teaching badly and asked Ding Xiaoyu to teach him instead, leaving Wang Yanyi frustrated. Su Mu, feeling tired, decided to stop playing.
Tian Tiande joined him, and as they went to rest, Su Mu skillfully blocked a stray ball, saving Tian Tiande from getting hit. While resting, Tian Tiande mentioned her close relationship with Li Di, explaining they attended the same school and played on the same baseball team, winning championships for three consecutive years. When Tian Tiande asked Su Mu about his hobbies, he admitted that he knew nothing apart from making aircraft.
Tian Tiande playfully encouraged him, saying he could always learn new things. Upon returning home, they found Dr. Gao holding two deceased fish, deeply saddened. He explained that the fish had a special meaning, having been bought when he was caring for his sick wife, hoping she would recover and be as free as them. Sadly, his wife passed away soon after, and now both fish, Xiao Lan and Xiao Shou, had also died.
Dr. Gao, reflecting on his loss, shared a poignant message: couples should cherish their time together, love each other, and not waste precious moments quarreling, as life is short. This profound statement visibly moved Su Mu. Tian Tiande then offered to let Dr. Gao bury his fish there. Tian Tiande continued to drink with Dr. Gao, toasting to the fish and "great love," while Su Mu watched with concern, telling her to stop.
When Dr. Gao invited Su Mu to drink as well, Su Mu admitted he didn't drink. Dr. Gao, not in the mood, refused to look at Su Mu's blueprints and told him to come back in a few days. Meanwhile, Li Di took Wang Yanyi to his home, where they planned to play video games. Wang Yanyi, observing Li Di's mood, directly confronted him, asserting that Li Di liked Tian Tiande.
Li Di denied it, explaining their long-standing friendship and shared history on the baseball team since high school and university. Wang Yanyi, however, insisted that in love, competition must be fair, especially between Li Di and Su Mu, and encouraged Li Di to be brave and pursue his feelings. Wang Yanyi then mentioned he enjoyed playing baseball and wanted to join Li Di's training tomorrow.
But upon learning that Ding Xiaoyu would not be there, Wang Yanyi quickly changed his mind, claiming he had a meeting tomorrow. Later, Tian Tiande, still feeling the effects of the alcohol, denied being drunk when Su Mu expressed concern. She then agreed to accompany Su Mu to see Dr. Gao, but only if he would accompany her to watch the stars. They agreed to go the following day.
Su Mu then started working, while Tian Tiande quickly fell asleep on the sofa. Su Mu gently covered her with a blanket. He then received a phone call from his mother, who informed him her flight would arrive at 11:00 AM the next day and instructed him to pick her up. Su Mu quietly agreed to her request. After the call, he carefully carried the sleeping Tian Tiande to the bed, where she remained fast asleep, clutching his toy dog.
The next morning, Tian Tiande woke up in bed, embarrassed and confused as to how she got there. Earlier, Li Di was seen looking at graduation photos of himself and Tian Tiande with a sense of wistfulness. Su Mu, having spent the night without his toy dog, also hadn't slept well. She found Su Mu sleeping on the sofa and, drawn to him, leaned closer. Su Mu suddenly woke up, startling her.
Tian Tiande awkwardly tried to explain her presence in the bed, but Su Mu simply told her he only knew she had hugged his toy dog while sleeping. He then reminded her of their plan to watch the stars and advised her not to be out too late that afternoon. Tian Tiande, dressed up, went to her ice cream shop where Tang Mumu noticed her changed appearance.
After some teasing, Tian Tiande admitted that she and Su Mu were living together, though she quickly clarified they were sleeping separately and it was Su Mu's suggestion. Tang Mumu declared that Su Mu inviting Tian Tiande to watch the stars was definitely a date and, after checking, announced that green was Tian Tiande's lucky color for the day, prompting Tian Tiande to immediately close the shop to go clothes shopping.
Meanwhile, Su Mu and Mi Ya picked up their mother from the airport. Their mother, a meteorologist who had also become an "internet celebrity" through popular science live streams, handed them a gift from their father. She stressed the importance of experiencing nature, not just working in an office, and informed them she was back to give speeches about the peculiar and strong Aston Typhoon. She insisted that both Su Mu and Mi Ya must accompany her for dinner later.
Mi Ya informed Su Mu that she couldn't handle their mother alone and had invited Hui Zi to join them for dinner, much to their mother's delight, who hadn't seen Hui Zi in years and began teasing Su Mu about their relationship. Their mother also inquired about their project's exterior design, and Mi Ya mentioned that Hui Zi had found Dr. Gao, whom their mother recognized as a talented but "quite weird" expert.
After shopping, Tian Tiande waited for Su Mu at a restaurant. Tang Mumu received a call about a delivery and had to leave, leaving Tian Tiande feeling a bit lonely. Su Mu sent a message, informing Tian Tiande that he was busy and might be late, asking her to wait for him, to which she agreed. At the dinner, Su Mu's mother reiterated that both her children must accompany her, especially since it was her first day back.
However, Su Mu, despite his mother's insistence and Mi Ya reminding him that Hui Zi was coming, abruptly announced he had to leave, even before eating. He asked Mi Ya to take their mother home. As he hastily departed, he ran into Hui Zi at the door.
