The buyers were determined to get Youguang and raised large sums of money, while the seller claimed to be an immortal, intending to trick them into handing over their money. However, at this critical moment, Ying Tao cleverly used a silver needle to sever the rope controlling Youguang, causing it to fall, revealing his true face—it was Hu Sima, disguised as Bi Chengye. Seeing this, Su Wuming immediately ordered him to be taken down.

Pei Xijun stood aside, wearing a cold smile; she had long seen through Hu Sima's disguise and was just waiting for this moment. Hu Sima's face turned ashen, shocked and confused as to how Su Wuming and the others had seen through his identity. Su Wuming questioned Hu Sima about his strange attire, pointing out that Xiaoyun Building was open to all with many regular customers, yet only Liang knew his true appearance, which was certainly suspicious.

Hu Sima gave a bitter smile and confessed that his actions were all forced by his official career. The matter at the painting shop was not his doing, as there was a powerful force behind it aiming to restore the imperial court, and he hinted that if Su Wuming was sensible, he might be spared death. However, Su Wuming was more concerned about the whereabouts of Youguang and the mastermind behind it.

Hu Sima, however, claimed Youguang was not with him and threatened that if they did not release him, everyone would perish together. On the other side, Qin Xiaobai was bound by A Zu. A Zu was resentful, saying that three years of service only brought cold treatment. He wanted to use the power of Youguang to become a legendary figure in the art world.

He also revealed that he was guided by his father's friend, specialized in painting, and painted the killer demon king. Qin Xiaobai heard this with deep remorse, regretting that he had taught A Zu this path, which instead helped him do evil. In despair and anger, Qin Xiaobai tried to stop A Zu from destroying the painting, but was powerless. Eventually, A Zu accidentally fell and died.

At this moment, the Princess and the Crown Prince falsely claimed they wanted to admire the Demon Suppression transformation. Facing the ravaged painting, the Princess was furious. Meanwhile, Su Wuming and others had quietly arrived, just as Qin Xiaobai had a sudden inspiration and wanted to dot the eyes for the group of demons, but knowing he had entered the demonic path, he felt unworthy of this task.

An intricate web of power struggles and revenge slowly unfolded in the ancient temple. Clearly, that demonic creature was actually General Ma transformed. After being beheaded in battle, he escaped back and sought his wife, but stumbled upon her meeting secretly with Lu Lingfeng, and became enraged and transformed into a demon. Lu Lingfeng arrived in time and worked with everyone to restrain the demonic creature.

Su Wuming used words to awaken General Ma's remaining consciousness and exposed Feng Han as the mastermind. The Princess's misunderstanding of the Emperor gradually dissipated under Su Wuming's explanation. It turned out that the Emperor had secretly released a subordinate who had made a mistake, but unexpectedly, he had joined the Anlemen, an organization that used Youguang to create paintings for personal gain.

Feng Han claimed this action was to repay the Emperor's kindness, but was obstructed by the Princess and the Crown Prince, and thus planned the events in Chang'an out of anger. After a brief moment of clarity, General Ma engaged in a fierce battle with Feng Han, ultimately injuring both and leading to their mutual demise. Lu Lingfeng witnessed all of this from the side, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

He revealed to Su Wuming that in a moment of desperation, he had unconsciously called the Princess "Mother," which made him feel extremely regretful and uneasy. Seeing this, Su Wuming, while understanding Lu Lingfeng's feelings, did not forget to remind him to be careful with his words and actions to avoid embarrassment when meeting the Crown Prince in the future. Hearing this, Lu Lingfeng felt even more lingering fear, knowing deeply that he must act more cautiously to avoid causing unnecessary trouble for those around him.
