The highly anticipated first game of the Ten-game Match between Sheng Jingchu and Yao Ke commenced, captivating everyone with its intensity. Commentators noted Sheng Jingchu seemed a bit reserved and flustered, unwilling to lose a single piece, thereby falling into Yao Ke's trap, while Yao Ke's performance was strong. Cheng's father fiercely defended his son-in-law from a teasing friend.

Elder Xie and Elder Jiang observed the game, with Elder Xie remarking that Yao Ke never enters a battle unprepared and clearly planned to end the game swiftly. He highlighted Yao Ke's brilliant "one stone resolves two capturing races", a rare move that allowed black stones to guard two spots simultaneously, proving Yao Ke's thorough preparation for the Ten-game Match. Cheng Liao, watching from the sidelines, grew increasingly anxious.

She worried about Sheng Jingchu losing the crucial first game, fearing it would deeply affect his morale. Overcome with nervousness, she stepped outside, blaming herself for distracting him with travel plans instead of his practice. Her friend tried to reassure her, but Cheng Liao admitted she had never been so worried about anyone before. Meanwhile, the commentators were in awe as Sheng Jingchu executed a spectacular comeback, making a strategic trade of stones to gain liberty.

His deep calculations allowed him to counterattack the black stones, surprising everyone. They likened the game to a roller coaster ride, praising Sheng Jingchu's breathtaking prowess. A commentator noted that Yao Ke's earlier "horizontal stretch" move (并), while seemingly good, ultimately gave Sheng Jingchu an opening, a grave mistake that cost him the game. After Sheng Jingchu's victory, he politely offered Yao Ke a handshake, but Yao Ke remained seated, lost in thought and disappointment, while his brother shed tears.

Cheng's father, overjoyed, declared that his son-in-law had won and eagerly offered a feast to celebrate. Reporters swarmed Sheng Jingchu, but staff redirected them, announcing that interviews were concluded. Sheng Jingchu found Cheng Liao outside, her eyes red from worry. He teased her for being a "scaredy-cat" and asking if she was afraid he would lose.

Cheng Liao confessed her fear, explaining that she knew how much winning meant to him and couldn't bear to see him heartbroken if he lost. Sheng Jingchu then revealed he had won the game and offered her some "life-saver" candy. Upon hearing the good news, Cheng Liao was ecstatic, and they shared a tender kiss.

Back at the restaurant, Jiang Yuda boldly confessed his feelings to Cheng's father, proclaiming Cheng Yi to be his "goddess of dreams" and his "perfect ideal type." He expressed his deep love for her and his desire to spend his life with her, even suggesting Cheng's father take him in as a son-in-law and claiming he was also a "mighty dragon."

Cheng's father, however, quickly dismissed his aspirations, sarcastically calling his service "great like a dragon" and stating that only Xu Chi was worthy of Cheng Yi. He advised Jiang Yuda to keep such dreams to himself, warned him not to tell Cheng Yi, knowing her personality would lead to rejection, and reminded him to focus on his chores. Frustrated, Jiang Yuda resumed his work, muttering about being underestimated.

Later, as Cheng Yi prepared to leave for work, Jiang Yuda handed her a small box of treats, saying it was for "replenishing energy" and that he practices Go every day but would never let it interfere with his love for her. Cheng Yi thanked him and left.

Sheng Jingchu spoke to Cheng Liao, acknowledging that Yao Ke was probably the player who understood his Go game the most, emphasizing how the Ten-game Match forced players to completely know and challenge each other, fighting without reservation. He expressed regret that his match had used up all of Cheng Liao's annual leave, causing her to miss out on a trip to the Maldives.

Cheng Liao, however, reassured him, saying she didn't regret it and found watching his match incredibly satisfying, despite the pain of seeing him so exhausted. She told him she could save her leaves again next year and would focus on being his "panda feeder," stating she liked both traveling and being home. Cheng Liao then playfully instructed Sheng Jingchu not to change his "victory outfit" for future matches.

To make up for her missed vacation, Sheng Jingchu promised to take her to a memorable place during the break before his next match, keeping the destination a secret. Meanwhile, Yao Ke, speaking with his brother, lamented his loss, realizing he had underestimated Sheng Jingchu and was only "one step away" from winning.

Despite his brother's attempt to console him by reminding him there were still nine rounds left, Yao Ke vowed never to give Sheng Jingchu another chance to win. Cheng Liao called her father, trying to butter him up before asking permission for a weekend trip with Sheng Jingchu. Cheng Yi, present with her father, interjected, teasing her sister about her tactics. Cheng's father grew concerned, fearing they would be living together.

Cheng Liao quickly clarified that while they would stay in the same hotel, they would not share a room, easing his worries. He reluctantly gave his approval, reiterating his strict rule about separate rooms.

As they traveled, Cheng Liao counted Sheng Jingchu's eyelashes, recounting a legend that knowing the count and reporting it to the King of Hell in the afterlife would allow them to avoid drinking the Forgetfulness Potion, remember each other forever, and be lovers again in their next life. Sheng Jingchu, touched, reciprocated by counting hers. Cheng Liao, moved that he would do something so "boring" for her, declared she would count his every day.

They arrived at Nanlingzhen, the small town where Sheng Jingchu had lived for six years with his parents. Cheng Liao found the scenery pleasant, but the house itself was quiet. Sheng Jingchu explained that his parents preferred the quiet town over the bustling city, even if it meant a longer commute. As Sheng Jingchu showed her around his childhood home, Cheng Liao felt a sense of history in every object.

However, Sheng Jingchu humorously pointed out that their first challenge would be to avoid "starving together" as the house lacked gas and ingredients, normally handled by his assistant, Qi. Cheng Liao climbed to a high point, hoping to spot a convenience store, but found nothing, feeling hopeless about their food situation. Sheng Jingchu offered to find food, but Cheng Liao insisted they stay put to conserve energy.

She then approached a local villager, explaining their hunger and asking to buy some sweet potatoes. The kind villager gave her ten sweet potatoes for free. Back home, Cheng's father worried if Cheng Liao and Sheng Jingchu had eaten, wanting to call them. Cheng Yi stopped him, urging him not to disturb them. He begrudgingly put his phone down, complaining of feeling restless.

As Sheng Jingchu and Cheng Liao roasted sweet potatoes, Cheng Liao remarked on their sweetness and expressed her liking for the place, suggesting they visit often. Sheng Jingchu went to get water and, after giving Cheng Liao precise instructions on where to find it, directly asked if she could "see the colors now," referencing her partial color blindness and the progress of her vision.
