Xu Chi contacted Cheng Yi to meet, hoping she would stay and collaborate with Pinecone Video. He urged her not to go to Shanghai, reminding her of her deep roots in Binhai, including her family, her old neighborhood Sweetwater Lane, and an unfulfilled dream. He also recalled their shared childhood, suggesting that their bond was more like siblings than romantic partners, and apologized for his past impulsive confession.

To ease her concerns about working with him, Xu Chi even offered to leave Pinecone Video if she stayed. He presented her with a signed proposal for a show called "Road to Success," which the company president had already approved for full funding. He asked her to sign the cooperation agreement if she trusted him and wanted to fulfill her dream. After much deliberation, Cheng Yi decided to stay in her hometown and join Pinecone Video.

She then informed her father and Cheng Liao of her decision. Later, Cheng Liao accompanied Cheng Yi to Pinecone Video, where Cheng Yi formally signed the agreement, expressing her trust in Xu Chi. Xu Chi welcomed her, though he privately thought he didn't want to remain the person he used to be forever. Meanwhile, Jiang Yuda, who had planned to follow Cheng Yi to Shanghai, was saying goodbye to his scooter when Cheng Dad reminded him to deliver food.

While on his delivery route, Jiang Yuda saw a large promotional poster featuring Cheng Yi and Xu Chi, which appeared to him like a wedding photo. Enraged, he tried to storm into Pinecone Video to confront Xu Chi but was blocked by security. Later that day, Jiang Yuda cornered Xu Chi after work, accusing him of being a manipulative older man who used schemes to keep Cheng Yi close.

Xu Chi confirmed his desire to be with Cheng Yi but dismissed Jiang Yuda's demands for "fair competition," stating he had known Cheng Yi and dedicated himself to her for twenty years longer. He declared that Pinecone Video's doors would forever be closed to Jiang Yuda, admitting his "sinister" nature. Jiang Yuda defiantly vowed to find a million ways to get in.

Over the next few days, Jiang Yuda repeatedly attempted to infiltrate Pinecone Video and was just as consistently escorted out by security, becoming a known spectacle among the company staff. Sheng Jingchu picked up Cheng Liao, intending to formally introduce her at Jiuzhou Dojo not merely as a producer but as his girlfriend. Cheng Liao admitted to being nervous. Upon their arrival, Sheng Jingchu's junior brothers, including Cao Xihe, expressed concern.

Cao Xihe argued that Sheng Jingchu was in his "golden age" for Go and should not be distracted by love, claiming it was a waste of time and jeopardized his future. Sheng Jingchu countered, quoting their master, that "chess is like life, encompassing all aspects, and love is an essential part." He asserted that being in a relationship does not waste time, but rather it is the futile pursuit of unrequited love that truly wastes time.

Yao Ke, also present, found Sheng Jingchu's remarks unpleasant and confidently stated that he could defeat Sheng Jingchu if he relaxed. Another junior brother then suggested that if Sheng Jingchu's peak performance waned, Cheng Liao might leave him. Sheng Jingchu vowed to prevent such a scenario, and Cheng Liao humorously added that she was loyal and didn't have "online boyfriends." One of the junior brothers, Little Lan, vehemently opposed their relationship.

Believing they were serious, Sheng Jingchu prepared to leave with Cheng Liao. However, everyone immediately stopped them, revealing it was all a joke. They warmly welcomed Cheng Liao as their "sister-in-law" and even cheered for the couple. Sheng Jingchu then affectionately called Cheng Liao "Liao Liao," a homonym for "spending the rest of my life with you," while she decided to call him "Panda," her special, "super invincible" protected animal.

As they left, Cheng Liao excitedly told Sheng Jingchu that with her sister, Cheng Yi, joining Pinecone Video and taking on most of the work, she finally had some free time. She had saved ten days of annual leave and dreamed of using them to travel with Sheng Jingchu to the Maldives, describing it as a beautiful "haven." Sheng Jingchu enthusiastically agreed to accompany her.

Cheng Liao decided to apply for leave the next day so they could meticulously plan their trip. True to his word, Jiang Yuda continued his attempts to enter Pinecone Video. Unable to get past security, he called Cheng Liao, begging her to help him. He explained his need to publicly challenge the "superficial prejudice" that Cheng Yi and Xu Chi were a couple, fearing Cheng Yi would be influenced by public opinion.

Cheng Liao, initially hesitant due to her loyalty to Xu Chi, was persuaded by Jiang Yuda's argument that Cheng Yi's choice was hers alone and that he deserved a fair chance. She disguised Jiang Yuda as a delivery driver and snuck him in, telling security he was delivering coffee for a meeting.

During Cheng Yi's presentation of her new show "Road to Success" to her colleagues, Jiang Yuda burst in, holding up a large sign declaring "Miss Goddess, I love you!" His disruptive antics made Cheng Yi and her colleagues laugh, and Cheng Yi even seemed happy with his persistence, much to Xu Chi's visible annoyance. Xu Chi immediately called security to remove Jiang Yuda. As he was being dragged out, Jiang Yuda loudly proclaimed that Cheng Yi liked him.

Xu Chi then issued a strict order to the security team never to allow Jiang Yuda inside the building again. Later, Cheng Yi found Jiang Yuda waiting outside her home with a flower. She accepted the flower but firmly told him not to visit her anymore, explaining that her sole focus was her career. She reiterated that due to their significant age gap and differing personalities, a relationship between them was impossible.

Unfazed, Jiang Yuda persisted, declaring that nothing was impossible in love and vowing he would definitely make her fall in love with him. Cheng Yi, again, told him not to waste his energy on her and bid him goodnight. Elsewhere, Yao Ke was intently studying chess manuals late into the night. He confided in his younger brother that watching Sheng Jingchu play from the sidelines was profoundly different from playing against him.

He observed Sheng Jingchu's significant emotional fluctuations during a recent game and noticed some unusual moves. He believed this insight had allowed him to pinpoint Sheng Jingchu's weaknesses, giving him confidence that he could finally defeat him. Cheng Yi's new show, "Road to Success," premiered, featuring Yao Ke as the first guest.

Cheng Yi introduced Yao Ke, acknowledging his past achievements as a "Tianyuan" title holder and multiple international award winner, while also highlighting his current status as the world's number two Go player, perpetually second to Sheng Jingchu for the past decade. Yao Ke confirmed the accuracy of her introduction and expressed his strong desire for the top spot, viewing ambition as a driving force.

He confidently declared that if given the chance to play a Ten-game Match against Sheng Jingchu, he would win at least six games. Cheng Yi asked him to explain the "Ten-game Match" format, which Yao Ke described as a series of ten games where the first to win six is victorious, a brutal "ultimate duel" that reveals true strength but has seen no challengers recently. Cheng Yi directly asked if his statement was a public challenge to Sheng Jingchu.

Yao Ke, after complimenting her "aggressive" questioning, admitted it was a challenge, but speculated that Sheng Jingchu might lack the courage to accept it. He then formally addressed "Senior Jing Chu," issuing an invitation for a Ten-game Match, giving him ten days to respond. Following the show, the director praised Cheng Yi for her excellent work, noting the program's impressive depth and content, and particularly its ability to generate a "huge topic" around the Ten-game Match.

He revealed that the show had been trending for five days, with an online poll showing over 80% public support for the match. He proposed that if Sheng Jingchu accepted Yao Ke's challenge, Pinecone Video should immediately sponsor and provide full coverage of the entire match. Meanwhile, Sheng Jingchu was watching the interview online with Cheng Liao.

Cheng Liao remarked on Yao Ke's persistent refusal to accept defeat and his increasingly severe provocations, then asked Sheng Jingchu if he intended to respond to the growing buzz around the Ten-game Match.
