After seeing his brother return, Wang Shuo deliberately spoke to him in a sarcastic and mocking tone, upset that his brother was getting too close to Wu Suowei. But when his brother responded with indifference and coldness, Wang Shuo became even more furious and went straight to confront Wu Suowei, even trying to provoke him. However, Wu Suowei pretended nothing was wrong and didn’t take the bait.
Yue Yue came to Wu Suowei’s house again to visit his mother, claiming that everything before was just a misunderstanding and hoping to reconcile with Wu Suowei. She even tried to get Wu Suowei’s mother to help persuade him, but his mother felt very conflicted. For Guo Chengyu’s birthday, Chi Cheng, Wang Shuo, Wang Shuo’s brother, and others helped celebrate. Wang Shuo deliberately brought up events from ten years ago, trying to rekindle old feelings with Chi Cheng.
However, Chi Cheng didn’t take it seriously and kept avoiding him. Seeing Chi Cheng’s cold indifference, Wang Shuo realized he couldn’t win him back and broke down in tears. Wang Shuo’s brother, furious upon seeing this, splashed a glass of wine in Wang Shuo’s face. In his anger, Wang Shuo’s brother left his phone on the table without noticing, which gave Chi Cheng the chance to see the chat between him and Wu Suowei.
This sparked a physical fight among them, just as Wu Suowei arrived and saw everything, walking away in anger. Wu Suowei deliberately rewatched the video Wang Shuo had left behind and discovered that on the night Wang Shuo and Guo Chengyu had slept together, nothing had actually happened. Chi Cheng frantically searched for Wu Suowei, even going to his house.
Wu Suowei’s mother told Chi Cheng about Yue Yue’s recent visit and he finally realized that Wu Suowei’s ex-girlfriend was Yue Yue. He also began to suspect that Yue Yue had approached him with ulterior motives. At first, Chi Cheng tried to comfort himself by thinking it might just be someone with the same name. But after seeing the photos of Wu Suowei and Yue Yue together, along with Wu Suowei’s diary, even that last bit of comfort disappeared.
Wu Suowei also found out that Chi Cheng had looked through his diary and photos, and realized that it was time to come clean. Wu Suowei returned to the hospital. Chi Cheng still wanted to give him a chance to explain, but Wu Suowei, already full of misunderstandings toward Chi Cheng, Wang Shuo, and Guo Chengyu, responded first. He offered no explanation—only admitted that he had approached Chi Cheng with a purpose in mind from the beginning.
Out of spite, Chi Cheng said he would go to Wang Shuo, but Wu Suowei had already found evidence and sent it to him. It showed that nothing had happened between Wang Shuo and Guo Chengyu that night, meaning Wang Shuo hadn’t physically betrayed Chi Cheng, and there was still a chance for them. That night, Chi Cheng went to find Wang Shuo.
When Wang Shuo saw him, he thought Chi Cheng had already broken up with Wu Suowei and was coming back to him, and was overjoyed. But Chi Cheng was there to end things once and for all. He clearly told Wang Shuo that he no longer loved him. Upon hearing this, Wang Shuo burst into tears. Chi Cheng decisively got up and left.
Wang Shuo realized it was truly over—Chi Cheng had made it clear that the reason he no longer loved Wang Shuo wasn’t because of the betrayal, but because of the way Wang Shuo had coldly left him back then. Chi Cheng had waited for years, but never received an answer. Meanwhile, Wu Suowei was still grieving alone when he suddenly received a call from the hospital informing him about his mother’s condition.
Since Wu Suowei’s mother was listed as the emergency contact and the hospital had been unable to reach her, the doctor contacted Wu Suowei out of responsibility. Hearing this, he rushed out anxiously to look for his mother.
