The Seven Relics of ill Omen Episode 22 Recap
> The Seven Relics of ill Omen Recap
Luo Ren discovered a cave in the mountains. Following the steps down and feeling his way through, he found Cao Yanhua tied up. Just as he rushed over to rescue him, Cao Qingshan appeared, holding Yafeng hostage. In the standoff, Luo Ren seized an opportunity and managed to save Yafeng. She clung to Luo Ren’s arm in fear, while Cao Qingshan, hiding nearby, claimed that Mu Dai and the others were already dead.
Luo Ren became agitated and was about to charge forward with a knife when the trap beneath his feet suddenly opened. Yafeng gave him a shove, and he fell in. Mu Dai, who had been climbing up inside the cave, saw this and quickly used her lightness skills to catch Luo Ren. Luo Ren, seeing what she had done, stabbed a dagger into the cave wall to slow his fall and grabbed Mu Dai.
He then told Mu Dai to tie the rope in his bag around his waist, and Mu Dai slid down the rope to the bottom of the cave. Meanwhile, in the van, Yan Hongsha overheard a group of girls discussing how it was Yafeng who had pursued Cao Qingshan, which made her suspect something was off. Luo Ren carefully bandaged Mu Dai’s injured fingers and sincerely thanked her for saving his life.
After learning how Mu Dai got trapped in the cave, Luo Ren suspected that Cao Qingshan was the mastermind and Yafeng his accomplice. He believed the Heart Brand was behind all of it. Due to the continuous rain, the roads were blocked. To save time, Yan Hongsha found a raincoat in Luo Ren’s car and decided to climb over the mountain to the village. Along the way, she accidentally found Thirteen-Thousand buried in the mud.
She performed CPR to resuscitate him and tied him to her back with a rope, carrying him back to Luo Ren’s car. Yan Hongsha gently washed Thirteen-Thousand’s face and dressed his wounds. When Thirteen-Thousand woke up the next morning and realized he wasn’t wearing any clothes, he was so startled that he instantly sobered up. Thirteen-Thousand told Yan Hongsha that there was something wrong with Cao Qingshan and that the Heart Brand might be on him.
That night, when he went out to look for Mu Dai, he was ambushed by Cao Qingshan. After sustaining serious injuries, he played dead, clutching a rock to keep an air pocket, and was then buried in the mud by Cao Qingshan. As Yan Hongsha carried him with great difficulty, Thirteen-Thousand could feel it. Although he was deeply grateful, he stubbornly refused to admit it and started mocking Yan Hongsha’s bandaging skills, nearly earning himself a slap in the face.
Thirteen-Thousand analyzed the situation, saying it all felt like a setup—they were being taken out one by one. Luo Ren set an alarm and snuggled up with Mu Dai to sleep. Mu Dai was hungry, but since they didn’t know how long they’d be trapped in the cave, Luo Ren didn’t take out the only chocolate bar he had. Instead, he told her to sleep and save her energy.
Mu Dai found the woven rope bed too uncomfortable, so Luo Ren let her rest her head on his arm. When the alarm rang, Luo Ren woke Mu Dai up and broke off a piece of chocolate to feed her. Based on Mu Dai’s account and their assessment of the cave, Luo Ren guessed that it might be possible to dig a way out from the bottom. Yan Hongsha, in disguise, went to Caojia Village to gather information.
Instead of approaching Cao Qingshan, she sought out Cao Jinhua, claiming to be a supervisor from Cao Jinhua’s company and that she was there regarding the insurance Cao Jinhua had bought for her and her brother through Henry. Cao Jinhua was thrilled and invited Yan Hongsha to stay for the wedding banquet. The wedding began, but Cao Qingshan was nowhere to be found. When Cao Jinhua went looking for him, she accidentally discovered him talking to Cao Yanhua.
Luo Ren’s digging uncovered that the stones below were deliberately piled. He told Mu Dai to rest while he dug alone. When the alarm went off, he fed Mu Dai another piece of chocolate, keeping none for himself. Mu Dai, touched, insisted on digging herself. But the ground gave way—thankfully, Luo Ren caught her just in time.
