Just as he rushed over to rescue him, Cao Qingshan appeared, holding Yafeng hostage. In the standoff, Luo Ren seized an opportunity and managed to save Yafeng. She clung to Luo Ren’s arm in fear, while Cao Qingshan, hiding nearby, claimed that Mu Dai and the others were already dead.
Luo Ren became agitated and was about to charge forward with a knife when the trap beneath his feet suddenly opened. Yafeng gave him a shove, and he fell in. Mu Dai, who had been climbing up inside the cave, saw this and quickly used her lightness skills to catch Luo Ren. Luo Ren, seeing what she had done, stabbed a dagger into the cave wall to slow his fall and grabbed Mu Dai.
He then told Mu Dai to tie the rope in his bag around his waist, and Mu Dai slid down the rope to the bottom of the cave.
