Song Xiangsi, displeased, told him not to assume others were as vulgar as him and started to leave.
She then received a phone call from a friend thanking her for covering a shift, indicating she took on the guiding job for a friend. Moments later, Dr. Sun called, informing her that her father's condition had worsened, he had suffered heart palpitations, was in the ICU, and required an immediate surgery for which 50,000 yuan was needed that day. Desperate, Song Xiangsi returned to Xu Jiamu, tearfully asking to borrow 50,000 yuan.
Xu Jiamu readily agreed, promising to keep it a secret. She thanked him, promising to repay him quickly, but he told her there was no rush. Xu Jiamu reassured them he would pay in a few days and then called his father, Xu Niande.
His father, sensing trouble, asked what mess he needed to clean up. Xu Jiamu confessed he was out of money due to an emergency, denying it was for gaming investments. Song Xiangsi and Xu Jiamu were both on the affirmative team, arguing for its benefits. During the free debate segment, an opposing speaker challenged Xu Jiamu, questioning why he remained single if he truly believed in the benefits of college dating. Afterward, as classmates celebrated their win, Xu Jiamu confirmed his statement was true, but Song Xiangsi was upset and tried to leave. He chased her, reminding her she was his "creditor," then seriously asked her to be his girlfriend. Song Xiangsi expressed confusion, stating they were from different worlds and she wasn't interested in a "playboy" like him, as she didn't have time or feelings to squander.
Xu Jiamu, taken aback, asked if she truly saw him as such a mess. He then reaffirmed his feelings, asking her to give him time to prove his sincerity. Meanwhile, Qiao Anhao and Zhao Meng attended the San He Media trainee audition. Zhao Meng's singing talent was deemed inferior to her looks, and she was rejected. Qiao Anhao, however, was immediately recruited based on her appearance.
To comfort a dejected Zhao Meng, Qiao Anhao suggested she pursue her dream of becoming a manager, which Zhao Meng enthusiastically embraced, declaring herself Qiao Anhao's manager from that moment on. Eager to share her good news, Qiao Anhao searched for Lu Jinnian at the university, only to learn from a classmate that he was filming out of town and his phone was off to avoid disturbance during filming.
Frustrated by the inability to reach him, Qiao Anhao expressed her anger. Later that night, Lu Jinnian finally turned on his phone and called Qiao Anhao, asking if she had tried to reach him. She claimed she was visiting a friend nearby and just thought to call.
