Later, as they sat on the sofa watching television, a stream of romantic scenes appeared, causing Qiao Anhao to blush. Lu Jinnian suggested it was late and she should head to bed, and she agreed.
Unable to sleep, Qiao Anhao got up and found Lu Jinnian in the living room, also awake. She asked if she was keeping him up, but he said no, admitting he was having trouble falling asleep. Unbeknownst to them, Han Ruchu was outside the door and secretly recorded their conversation on her phone, selectively capturing Jia Mu's suggestion and Qiao Anhao's repeated phrase, making it sound like a declaration of love between Qiao Anhao and Jia Mu.
