President Gu was impressed by Su Bei's resolve and expressed regret at not having recruited her earlier. Su Bei pointed out that working for him would mean he paid her, whereas now, she was putting in great effort to secure his cooperation, which was likely more gratifying for him. She then introduced Liu Qianying, promoting her as an ideal candidate for Kong's youthful image. President Gu agreed to consider "Annie's" recommendation and suggested further discussions that evening.
Su Manni approached President Gu, asking him to look after her "sister" (Su Bei), and he instructed an assistant to exchange contact details.
