During rehearsal, Jiang Ye accidentally hit Tong Hua. After the rehearsal, Jiang Ye apologized to Tong Hua, but Kong Liang accused Jiang Ye of his actions. This angered Jiang Ye, who then directed his anger towards Kong Liang.

Jiang Ye overheard Kong Liang speaking poorly of him to Tong Hua, and he criticized Kong Liang for his unsuccessful pursuit of Tong Hua and his lack of accomplishments despite his age. Ding Mo Mo intervened and pulled Jiang Ye away.

Later, when Jiang Ye met with Ding Ke Mang, he was criticized for his actions towards He Shui. Ding Mo Mo reassured Jiang Ye and reminded him of the good qualities of Ding Ke Mang. When Jiang Ye continued to speak negatively, Ding Mo Mo brought up an incident where Ding Ke Mang had attended her press conference despite being injured, causing Jiang Ye to leave.

Chen Jiangge's assistant contacted Luo Xia to arrange a meeting with the editor of "Father and Son". Luo Xia was excited and immediately went to find Ding Mo Mo, who was watching Song Yang and Tong Hua rehearsing. Luo Xia informed Ding Mo Mo of Chen Jiangge's desire to talk to Ding Ke Mang about the script.

Ding Ke Mang was informed of Chen Jiangge's interest in meeting him, and though he was happy about the potential benefits to the play, Jiang Ye was not pleased with Luo Xia's attitude. Meanwhile, Luo Xia decided to arrange a meeting between Chen Jiangge and Vice Captain Song at a coffee shop.

Ding Mo Mo was concerned about Ding Ke Mang's well-being and felt that meeting with Chen Jiangge would negatively impact him. She expressed this to Luo Xia, who had to delay their meeting. Later, Song Bang suggested to Luo Xia that he should talk to Ding Ke Mang directly about the script.

Ding Ke Mang agreed to meet with Chen Jiangge, but Luo Xia later learned that Chen Jiangge wanted to talk to the director about the script, causing Luo Xia to worry about being replaced. He turned to Ding Ke Mang for advice and was told that it would ultimately be up to the screenwriter.
