My Eternal Star Episode 13 Recap
> My Eternal Star Recap
Lu Yuheng, completely drunk, smiled foolishly at everyone, making Lin Xiaodi wonder if she was seeing things. This wasn't the Whiz she knew. He took her bunny ears, claiming they suited him best, and began to play with them while singing "Little Star," amusing everyone present. Later, Lu Yuheng pulled Lin Xiaodi into another room, demanding to take off his clothes and bathe.
Fearing he would catch a cold, Lin Xiaodi followed him, trying to stop him from removing his jacket. Annoyed by the noise, Lu Yuheng pinned Lin Xiaodi against the wall and, in a moment of alcohol-fueled impulse, kissed her. Lin Xiaodi covered her mouth in disbelief, taking a long moment to recover. Meanwhile, Han Ruibing and Liu Yan decided to "do something fun." They ended up having a heartfelt conversation, confessing their true feelings to each other.
Han Ruibing thanked Liu Yan for his constant companionship, and Liu Yan promised that no matter where or when she needed him, he would rush to her side without hesitation. The next day, Lu Yuheng took Lin Xiaodi to the home of Ms. Jiang, a renowned Suzhou embroidery artisan. Lin Xiaodi remarked that she couldn't even get past the door on her previous attempt to visit, assuming Lu Yuheng would face the same challenge.
To her surprise, Ms. Jiang’s apprentice greeted Lu Yuheng respectfully and invited them inside. Inside, Lu Yuheng introduced Lin Xiaodi as his girlfriend to Ms. Jiang and explained that their visit was for Lin Xiaodi to learn about Suzhou embroidery. Ms. Jiang was impressed by Lin Xiaodi and, noting that Lu Yuheng had called her beforehand, warmly welcomed them, promising Lin Xiaodi the opportunity to learn and inviting her to visit anytime.
Lin Xiaodi was ecstatic about finally getting the chance to delve into Suzhou embroidery, marveling at the single-sided and double-sided embroidery, learning that the latter required at least ten years of experience. Back at home, both Lin Xiaodi and Lu Yuheng were privately pondering the kiss from the previous night. Lu Yuheng believed that since Lin Xiaodi was sober, she should initiate the conversation, and he was ready to take responsibility.
Lin Xiaodi, on the other hand, tried to convince herself to forget what happened but secretly hoped Lu Yuheng would address it. Her hopes were dashed when Lu Yuheng finally spoke, only to ask if she had cleaned the bathroom because he wanted to shower. Disappointed, she mentally called him an "idiot" for his lack of understanding, and both ended up losing their appetite for breakfast.
Lu Yuheng, feeling Lin Xiaodi was not proactive enough, wished she would "fight for him" so he could take responsibility. Around this time, Zhao Muran moved into the apartment directly opposite Lu Yuheng's, determined not to sit idly by. He planned a "grandest confession" to Lin Xiaodi, a visually stunning and impactful declaration, enlisting Hua's help. Hua expressed concerns about his career, but Zhao Muran was consumed by his romantic pursuit.
He invited Lin Xiaodi to see his new place, which he had decorated entirely to her taste, showing her the custom-designed rooms and wardrobe. He handed her a spare key, telling her it was now her home. Lin Xiaodi covertly hoped Lu Yuheng would intervene. Lu Yuheng did try to stop her, but his attempt to detain her by saying she couldn't leave until she cleaned the dining table only irritated Lin Xiaodi.
She told him to clean it himself and left with Zhao Muran. Lin Xiaodi then gently but firmly reiterated to Zhao Muran that they were only good friends, nothing more. She returned his key and asked him to publicly clarify that she was not his girlfriend, as she didn't want to become a "public enemy." Zhao Muran felt heartbroken but feigned cheerfulness, attempting to distract her by showing off his traditional style figurines.
Later, Ding Yuan invited Lin Xiaodi to a traditional art exhibition. An emergency arose when one of the main Hanfu garments for the exhibit was damaged, causing distress for Ms. Bai. Observing Lin Xiaodi’s Hanfu, which she had designed during her studies at Blooming Jasmine and personally liked enough to make into a finished garment, Ding Yuan realized it matched the exhibition's theme perfectly. He suggested using it as a replacement for the damaged piece.
Lin Xiaodi was pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed when the international partners from Unique Legendary Dream company loved her design, stating it was their favorite among all the new pieces. Seeing her lightly dressed, Ding Yuan kindly offered her his suit jacket. When Lin Xiaodi returned home wearing Ding Yuan's jacket, Lu Yuheng was consumed by jealousy.
He pointedly declared that "other people's clothes" should not be in his house and aggressively pulled the jacket off her, throwing it to the floor. Lin Xiaodi picked it up and confronted him, asking if he was overreacting and if he thought she had changed clothes at Zhao Muran's house, or if he was simply jealous. She clarified that she had texted him about attending Blooming Jasmine's product launching event, where her design was unexpectedly exhibited due to an emergency.
It was chilly, so Ding Yuan had kindly lent her his jacket, which she intended to wash and return. Lu Yuheng, still sulking, disparaged Ding Yuan and dismissed her achievement, asking if simply exhibiting a piece of clothing was truly that exciting. Lin Xiaodi passionately explained that while it might seem insignificant to him, it was a major milestone for her career. Lu Yuheng then suggested she "aim higher" by opening her own costume workshop and holding her own exhibitions.
Lin Xiaodi listed the challenges she faced, including a lack of experience, a team, and financial resources, even after her visit to Ms. Jiang. Lu Yuheng shared his philosophy for success: "want to do it, then do it," emphasizing that overthinking without action leads nowhere. As they continued to bicker, Lu Yuheng asserted that anything in his house belonged to him.
He then demandingly asked Lin Xiaodi to pour him another glass of water, justifying his request by stating, "Because you are in my apartment." Lin Xiaodi realized that if she truly wanted to start a workshop, her immediate next step would be securing a suitable workspace.
