My Eternal Star Episode 10 Recap
> My Eternal Star Recap
Lu Yuheng spent a sleepless night on the sofa. He startled awake at the sound of the doorbell, hoping it was Lin Xiaodi returning, and quickly tried to compose himself, pretending to read a book. To his disappointment, it was Liu Yan at the door. Liu Yan and Han Ruibing arrived with breakfast, but Lu Yuheng largely ignored them, focusing instead on watering plants.
Liu Yan and Han Ruibing tried to persuade Lu Yuheng to bring Lin Xiaodi back, pointing out how quiet and cold the house felt without her. They urged him to apologize first, insisting there was no shame in it. However, Lu Yuheng stubbornly refused, stating that Lin Xiaodi chose to leave, so he saw no reason to go get her.
Han Ruibing explained that Lin Xiaodi was still upset because Lu Yuheng had publicly declared her his sister in front of reporters. She added that if he didn't bring her back, Lin Xiaodi would never return on her own, possibly staying permanently at Zhao Muran’s place. Liu Yan worried about Lu Yuheng's recent bad mood affecting his training, but Lu Yuheng remained indifferent, asserting that Lin Xiaodi's choices were her own.
Meanwhile, Lin Xiaodi was feeling down at Zhao Muran’s house, still affected by Lu Yuheng's words from the previous day. Zhao Muran tried to cheer her up, but she seemed distracted. When he asked if she was thinking about Lu Yuheng, she denied it, instead suggesting she should return to Lu Yuheng's house to retrieve her daily necessities and design drafts. Zhao Muran offered to drive her, reassuring her that he would disguise himself to avoid causing any trouble.
Back at Lu Yuheng's, Liu Yan and Han Ruibing were secretly devising a plan to get Lin Xiaodi back. Han Ruibing suggested Lu Yuheng fake an illness, but Liu Yan dismissed the idea, knowing Lu Yuheng was a terrible actor. He proposed making Lu Yuheng drunk instead, hoping Lin Xiaodi would be moved to care for him. He even suggested applying "drunken makeup" to make it more convincing.
Lu Yuheng, overhearing their schemes, declared he didn't need any tricks and reiterated that Lin Xiaodi left by her own choice. As Lin Xiaodi entered, she overheard Lu Yuheng’s dismissive remarks. Angered, she loudly announced that she was indeed leaving voluntarily and only returned to pack her belongings, intending to leave for good.
Liu Yan and Han Ruibing tried to intervene, explaining they were only joking and that Lu Yuheng had been in a bad mood and suffered from stomach upset since she left. Lin Xiaodi, however, was resolute, stating she was moving to Zhao Muran's place and would not be coming back. Despite their pleas, she packed her things and left, telling them that Lu Yuheng didn't need her.
Zhao Muran, who had been anxiously waiting downstairs, was relieved to see her come down and offered to help with her bags, expressing his happiness that she had chosen to leave. Liu Yan and Han Ruibing were frustrated by Lu Yuheng's stubbornness, lamenting that all their efforts to reconcile them were ruined by his words. They declared they were giving up, challenging Lu Yuheng to make Lin Xiaodi return on her own if he was so capable.
Lu Yuheng, left alone, pondered what he could do to bring her back. Later, at Zhao Muran's house, a small celebration was held for Lin Xiaodi's arrival. Zhao Muran presented her with a wedding-themed cake. When the lights were suddenly turned off as a surprise, Lin Xiaodi instinctively worried about Lu Yuheng, realizing how sensitive she had become to darkness due to his fear.
Meanwhile, at a coffee shop, Lu Yuheng received a phone call confirming that the person he had been searching for was Lin Xiaodi. Overwhelmed, he rushed out of the coffee shop. Upon arriving at Zhao Muran's villa, Lu Yuheng saw Lin Xiaodi and Zhao Muran happily dancing together in traditional attire as heavy rain poured down outside. His eyes hardened, and he felt nothing as the rain drenched him. He called Lin Xiaodi, but she didn't answer her phone.
Disappointed, he turned and left. Lin Xiaodi later noticed Lu Yuheng's missed call and was initially overjoyed, but when she tried to call him back, his phone was unreachable and then powered off. Distraught, she began drinking heavily, cursing Lu Yuheng as an "idiot," "jerk," and "big liar" for not trying to make her stay when she returned to his house earlier.
She expressed her confusion and sadness, questioning why she cared about his words so much and why she kept thinking about him when it was clearly his fault. Drunk, she insisted on going home, so Zhao Muran, unable to reason with her, drove her back to Lu Yuheng's house. Lu Yuheng, still battling his own fear of the dark, bravely walked downstairs when he saw Lin Xiaodi and Zhao Muran. Lin Xiaodi, heavily intoxicated, confronted him, pulling at his face.
She demanded to know why he had called her his sister, labeling him an "unromantic insensible man." She confessed her deep feelings, wondering why she was so deeply concerned and cared about him so much. Lu Yuheng, no longer able to avoid his feelings, embraced her tightly, and they shared a passionate kiss in the dim light. From a distance, Zhao Muran witnessed their embrace and quietly left, heartbroken. The next morning, Lin Xiaodi woke up and prepared lunch.
She then found Lu Yuheng still asleep and realized he had a high fever. She gently woke him to take his temperature, but Lu Yuheng pulled her closer, demanding to know if she was always so kind to everyone, and if she had taken care of Zhao Muran in the same way when he was ill. Lin Xiaodi dismissed his questions, attributing them to his fever.
She busied herself with making him porridge and cooling his fever, eventually falling asleep awkwardly by his side. Lu Yuheng woke up to find her sprawling sleeping position amusing and seemed to enjoy her presence, remarking that if it were her, it "was not bad." Later, Lu Yuheng's fever had subsided, but he feigned weakness to garner Lin Xiaodi's attention, asking her to feed him porridge. Lin Xiaodi, still puzzled, asked him how she had returned home last night.
Lu Yuheng, seizing the opportunity, dramatically recounted that she had returned drunk, incessantly knocking on his door, and upon entry, had hugged him, cried, and explicitly asked him not to leave her. He concluded his story by claiming she had even "forced a kiss" on him. Lin Xiaodi was mortified, recalling fragments that seemed to confirm his exaggerated account.
She vehemently denied remembering anything, but Lu Yuheng insisted that if she had any conscience, she should take responsibility for her actions. He then warned her not to spend the night elsewhere without his permission again, citing their contract. Lin Xiaodi questioned his right to control her, but Lu Yuheng asserted that, contract or not, her actions necessitated that she take "full responsibility."
