Hou Chi confessed to Shi Xia that he wanted to be her husband instead of her brother. He clarified that his feelings were romantic and desired to share a bridal room with her. Shi Xia was embarrassed. Hou Chi declared he wanted to protect her forever. He also wanted to be Shi Xia's first choice like a husband. Shi Xia told Hou Chi that the relationship between brothers and sisters can never be compared with that of husband and wife.
Just then, members of the Lingxiu Sect arrived, demanding that they hand over the compass. Shi Dong stalled them while Hou Chi and Shi Xia pretended to be newlyweds in the bridal chamber to deter the uninvited guests. Mr. Zhao from Lingxiu Sect insisted on inspecting the room, but Shi Dong delayed him. After Zhao realized he had been tricked, Shi Xia and Hou Chi escaped with Bi Hong's help through a hidden path that Qiu Li told Bi Hong.
Shi Dong became suspicious of Bi Hong. Inside the hidden path, Shi Xia was afraid of the dark, so Hou Chi used his holy power to light a lamp. However, they were suddenly sucked into a painting. Hou Chi tried to break the ward, but it did not work. Shi Xia, not wanting Hou Chi to risk his life, kissed him. Hou Chi then felt pain because of the Evil Aura.
Qiu Li appeared, revealing that she had inflicted Hou Chi with the Evil Aura, which activates with feelings of love. Qiu Li admitted that she was trying to help Shi Dong become the head of the Alliance and planned to kill Hou Chi and Shi Xia so that no one would reveal her secret. Shi Xia reminded her of Shi Dong's efforts to heal her.
Seeing Shi Xia in danger and unable to escape, Hou Chi decided to dissolve his Holy Root to break the ward, willing to disappear to save Shi Xia. Just as Hou Chi was about to vanish, the space shifted, transporting Hou Chi, Shi Xia, and Qiu Li to another dimension. Hou Chi was still there. Overjoyed, Shi Xia embraced and kissed Hou Chi. Then, they returned to reality safely.
Meanwhile, Shi Dong and Bi Hong followed the hidden path, and Shi Dong questioned how Bi Hong knew about the hidden path. Bi Hong claimed he found it by accident while trying to find a safe place for Shi Xia. Shi Dong remained suspicious. As they progressed, they found Shi Xia's pouch on the ground, prompting Shi Dong to worry that something had happened to her. Shi Dong and Bi Hong discovered the silver Garment protected by a barrier.
Shi Dong tried to break the barrier but failed. Suddenly, Qiu Li fell from the ancient painting. As Shi Dong helped Qiu Li up, Hou Chi and Shi Xia appeared on the altar. The Garment then automatically appeared on Hou Chi. A Shen Guan appeared, announcing that Hou Chi had obtained the Garment and would become the next head of the Alliance, giving him the official seal of the head of the Alliance.
As Qiu Li tried to attack Hou Chi, Yuan Zhao stopped her and took the painting, discovering his Ya was trapped inside. Qiu Li and Qi Lingling took the chance to escape.
