She packed her belongings and, despite the looming storm, walked out. Gu Yanluo, remembering her words and perhaps the small caricature of his grumpy face she left behind, grabbed an umbrella and rushed out. He frantically searched for her in the downpour, passing right by Ye Weimian, who sat on a bench, tears mingling with the rain on her face, clutching a photo of them, her sorrow overwhelming the elements.
The next day at the dormitory, Ye Weimian, who was being mistaken for Ye Zhenhan, faced confrontation from another girl who questioned her return. Later, Yan Jiuyue, addressing her as Zhenhan, approached with concern, having heard she was disciplined by a teacher. However, Lin, suspicious, informed her that the "promotion" didn't count because someone was clearly buying all the flyers. Ye Weimian, shocked, looked around and spotted Gu Yanluo surrounded by people, collecting and paying for the flyers. She turned to leave, but Gu Yanluo caught up, addressing her as Ye Zhenhan, asserting she must have time to talk. Ye Weimian insisted she was busy and reiterated their agreement to return to their separate lives.
Gu Yanluo refused to accept this, claiming they couldn't simply go back.
