A frustrated Liang Zhixiao had to pull Ke Siyi away, while Lin Li expressed her approval of the plan, wanting the photos published so everyone would know they were together.
Meanwhile, Lin Wen confronted Zhou Yanxin at his office. Worried about her safety due to Wu Dongde, Zhou Yanxin avoided her messages and urged her not to visit him again. This angered Lin Wen, who interpreted his distance as a desire to break up. Zhou Yanxin tried to explain he was protecting her but couldn't elaborate on the dangerous situation.
Wu Dongde's situation had become desperate; with his company and all personal properties seized by the court, he was constantly besieged by creditors. He was forced into hiding with his subordinate, Zhang Sen. Although creditors eventually located Zhang Sen, Wu Dongde managed to escape. Convinced that the vindictive Wu Dongde would prioritize retaliation over escaping his financial troubles, Xu Nuo decided it was time to use evidence of Wu Dongde's embezzlement to force him out of hiding. Realizing Xu Nuo was lying, Ke Siyi felt a surge of relief and renewed determination, vowing to win both his heart and professional success. At the airport, as Yun Zhu was preparing to fly to the United States, Liang Zhixiao unexpectedly appeared with his own luggage. He confessed that their recent interactions, including a night of reflection under a ginkgo tree, had made him realize his deep affection for her was true love, not just familial fondness.
Acknowledging that she was not just his sister and he no longer wished to be her "brother-in-law," Liang Zhixiao offered to carry her luggage, ready to join her on her journey. Desperate, Xu Nuo prayed at the Wishing Pond, offering all his life's fortune for her recovery. Back at her bedside, he spoke to her tenderly, bringing her a blooming jasmine flower and placing the lucky bracelet she had given him back into her hand. Miraculously, her fingers twitched, and she regained consciousness.
