However, Dingding angrily retorted that it was unnecessary for Shu Yiran to do so. Dingding then threw the tie she had bought for Ning Weijin at his feet and stormed off, getting into a taxi.
Ning Weijin threw Shu Yiran's tie back to her and immediately pursued Dingding, but couldn't catch her. He decided to wait at her apartment building. Meanwhile, after Gao Ren performed an emergency procedure on Yu Jiali's breast, she still needed a few days of observation for a post-operative infection. Yu Jiali pressed Gao Ren for a definitive recovery timeline, which he struggled to provide, stating that it varied for individuals.
A nurse intervened, fabricating a patient emergency to draw Gao Ren away. He later learned that a new client, who had been waiting to sign a contract, overheard the conversation and, concerned about his medical skills, left without signing. The next morning, Yu Jiali was distressed and crying, demanding the gauze be removed to check for pus, which could risk re-infection. Gao Ren reluctantly agreed to send her to the examination room, where she cried out about her breast.
Wen Zixin confronted Chen Xun, demanding to know why he hadn't told her about an audition opportunity. Her agent had informed her that she had already contacted him about it. Later that night, when Dingding vomited, Ning Weijin, unsure how to help, called Ning Weixuan to assist with changing her clothes. The next morning, Dingding woke up to find a loving note from Ning Weijin and a prepared breakfast.
In the note, he confessed he had called Ning Weixuan for help when she was sick and declared that all future tie purchases would be entirely her responsibility. Though Dingding jokingly dismissed his gesture, she was touched and felt the sweetness of their love return. Shortly after, Xiao Feng called Dingding, urging her to check Mu Yixun's Weibo.

As Baicha was leaving, he noticed the "Little scarf" backrests in the cafe. Dingding offered him one, but he declined, saying he already had one at home. She then realized that Baicha was the same "Emperor" she had previously chatted with on Taobao about collaboration.
Feeling immensely guilty, Gao Ren wished to apologize to Yu Jiali in person, but she refused to see him. Dr. Xiang attempted to convey Gao Ren's apology to her, but Yu Jiali reacted angrily, making Gao Ren even more despondent. She also implicitly confirmed that she had moved on from Gao Ren, seeing him now only as her brother's friend.
