Ning Weixuan forcefully took Gao Ren's phone to confirm he was talking to a client, not a girlfriend. She then confronted him about his constant unavailability, accusing him of making excuses to avoid her. She passionately declared her love, explaining she had been fond of him since junior high when he first visited her home with her brother. She emphasized that she was no longer a child but a woman who desired to be his girlfriend.

Gao Ren, startled, reacted by repeatedly stating "No" and calling her "still that little girl" before quickly getting into his car and leaving without a clear response. Later, a dejected Ning Weixuan shared her experience with Ning Weijin, feeling she had made a similar mistake by confessing at an inappropriate moment. Ning Weijin calmly told her that she wasn't Gao Ren's type, explaining how he observes physiological signs of love.

When Ning Weixuan asked if he used the same method to observe Dingding, he replied that Dingding didn't require it, or that it didn't work on her. Ning Weixuan then realized the irony of a doctor being unable to heal himself, clearly seeing others' romantic situations but not her own.

Ning Weijin, however, confidently stated he could clearly see his own feelings, asserting that for the right person, there is no inappropriate time for a confession, implicitly suggesting Gao Ren was not that person for Ning Weixuan. Despite his advice, Ning Weixuan stubbornly reaffirmed her love for Gao Ren. Meanwhile, Dingding, overwhelmed by Ning Weijin's confession, avoided the coffee shop by telling Ning Weixuan she had a cold and needed rest.

Ning Weixuan, concerned Dingding might be sacrificing her career for Ning Weijin, offered to call her brother for medical advice. Dingding quickly declined, citing a headache, and abruptly ended the call. She resolved to prioritize her studio, believing it was the most important thing to focus on at the moment. Wen Zixin asked Chen Xun to spend one last day with her as a couple.

They took a bus to a restaurant they frequented in college, where the woman boss recognized them. Wen Zixin reminded Chen Xun that this was their final day, and she would no longer pursue him afterward. At the restaurant, Wen Zixin offered Chen Xun some of her noodles, just as he used to help her finish her meals in college.

Chen Xun initially refused, saying he couldn't eat as much as before and needed to maintain his diet, but Wen Zixin insisted, reminding him of their shared past. He reluctantly agreed to eat a portion of her noodles. Shu Yiran and Ning Weijin met at a shopping mall to select a birthday gift for their former professor, Mrs. Zhou, upholding a long-standing tradition.

Shu Yiran had strategically called Gao Ren, who was in surgery, and lied to Ning Weijin that Gao Ren was busy to ensure he wouldn't join them, wanting alone time with Ning Weijin to confess her feelings. After choosing a gift, Ning Weijin's attention was drawn to a massage chair advertisement. He planned to buy one for Dingding, to be placed at Ning Weixuan's coffee shop, as Dingding often spent hours drawing without standing up.

Hearing this, Shu Yiran was spurred to express her emotions. She tried to prompt Ning Weijin to reflect on their nearly decade-long friendship, mentioning Mrs. Zhou's past jokes about them being a couple. Just as she was about to elaborate on her feelings, Ning Weixuan unexpectedly appeared. Ning Weixuan announced that Dingding was sick with a cold, handed Ning Weijin a bag of gifts for the invalid, and urged him to seize the opportunity.

Ning Weijin immediately left to visit Dingding. Shu Yiran, disheartened, lost interest in shopping and returned to the hospital alone, leaving Ning Weixuan puzzled by her mood. Chen Xun booked an entire cinema for Wen Zixin. As they watched the movie, she leaned on his shoulder, reminiscing about their college dreams and noting that many had come true, though their relationship could not revert to its past state. Chen Xun concurred.

Despite a headache, Wen Zixin wished to prolong their time together. They later visited a bridge where they had often gone. The wind was strong, and Chen Xun draped his jacket over her, an action that evoked nostalgic memories. Wen Zixin expressed her gratitude for the happiness he had brought her that day, highlighting that it had transported her back to a cherished, yet irrecoverable, period.

With only three minutes left until midnight, the deadline for their "boyfriend for one day" arrangement, she requested a photo to encapsulate their memories. As the picture was taken, she kissed him, a moment she hoped would forever be etched in her mind. Afterwards, Chen Xun drove Wen Zixin home. He reflected on a difficult time three years prior when his business failed, leading him to Shanghai with meager funds, hoping to see Dingding.

He slept on a park bench, but upon seeing Dingding with someone else, he decided not to disturb her. He recalled a pivotal phone call from Dingding the following day, asking him to return, and recognized its profound impact on his life. He admitted his inability to easily forget Dingding due to her extensive support. Observing Chen Xun, Wen Zixin expressed regret for not being there for him earlier but acknowledged the futility of it now.

She declared her departure and vowed not to trouble him again, having already arranged for a ride. She noted a change in Chen Xun and urged him to move on from certain things. As she left, she told Chen Xun that she would wait for him if he ever decided to return. At Chen Xun's company, a team member reported a significant boost in sales since Wen Zixin became their brand spokeswoman.

The corporate publicity department proposed additional photo shoots and marketing events. Chen Xun approved the plans and decided to personally call Wen Zixin. She let the phone ring for a while before answering, confirming she was feeling much better. Wen Zixin readily agreed to the new photoshoot, suggesting it be scheduled for the day after tomorrow to avoid company delays. Chen Xun remarked that she seemed remarkably different from her past self.

Ning Weijin meticulously reviewed and commented on Dingding's past WeChat Moments, some dating back two years. Gao Ren found this behavior childish, likening Ning Weijin to a shy middle school student, and sarcastically told him to ask his own students for advice on how to successfully pursue a girl. Ning Weijin, undeterred, expressed his intention to directly address his feelings with Dingding, unwilling to leave their relationship ambiguous.

Meanwhile, Dingding discussed Ning Weijin's actions with Xiao Feng, initially dismissing Ning Weijin's deep dive into her social media as mere boredom. Xiao Feng, however, interpreted it as genuine care and a desire to understand her past, confirming Ning Weijin's strong affection.

Dingding confessed her conflicted feelings, acknowledging a previous deep dive into a relationship with Chen Xun that lasted six years, and expressed her reluctance to dive into another one so soon, fearing it would once again distract her from her burgeoning studio. She also admitted to avoiding the coffee shop for a week to prevent awkward encounters with Ning Weijin.

Xiao Feng suggested that Ning Weixuan, whom he called a "fairy," was the ideal person to resolve the awkwardness between Dingding and Ning Weijin. Dingding sent Ning Weixuan a WeChat message inviting her to watch a movie on Saturday afternoon, explicitly asking her not to inform Ning Weijin. Unbeknownst to Ning Weixuan, Ning Weijin was standing right behind her and read the message. He confronted Ning Weixuan, initially feigning ignorance, then threatened to evict her if she didn't assist him.

Citing the irrationality of people in love, Ning Weixuan reluctantly agreed. Later, Dingding waited at the cinema, receiving a message from Ning Weixuan claiming to be stuck in traffic and instructing Dingding to leave her ticket at the gate and enter alone. Dingding found her seat in the dim cinema, feeling a slight discomfort being surrounded by couples. However, Ning Weijin, not Ning Weixuan, sat beside her.

Dingding, surprised, confronted him about Ning Weixuan's perceived betrayal, but Ning Weijin calmly told her to wait until after the movie to talk, so as not to disturb other viewers. He then casually took a handful of her popcorn, prompting Dingding to try and move the bucket away, but he playfully reached for more. Shu Yiran, despite not being naturally athletic, was intensely exercising at the gym and quickly twisted her ankle.

Gao Ren, concerned, reminded her of a past college incident where her competitive spirit led her to be bedridden after a race, preventing her from completing her experiments. He carried her to a resting area and massaged her injured foot. Shu Yiran confided in him, expressing a long-held belief that if Ning Weijin ever sought a relationship, she, having been by his side for years, would be his only choice.

However, she now understood that he simply never considered a romantic relationship with her. Despite this painful realization, Shu Yiran refused to give up, vowing to persist as long as Ning Weijin and Dingding remained unmarried, convinced that no one understood or was better suited for him than she was. Gao Ren, deeply empathizing, acknowledged her plight—wanting to do everything for someone who doesn't need it, and wanting to be good to someone who desires distance.

Offering his shoulder as comfort, he silently pondered his own unrequited feelings, asking, "Why not me?" After the movie, Ning Weijin insisted Dingding have dinner with him, stating it was his turn to treat her. He implied that if she refused, he would simply ask her again the next day. Dingding agreed but stipulated that she would choose the meal.

She opted for fried chicken, her favorite, but Ning Weijin intervened, citing health reasons and prohibiting her from eating oily food. Despite her protest, he meticulously removed all the chicken skin, calling it his "bottom line" as her doctor, and declared that her diet would be under his control if they were in a relationship. Dingding reiterated her strong disinterest in a relationship.

Ning Weijin then earnestly confessed his love, describing it as a "disease" that she was responsible for curing. He presented an ultimatum: either accept his feelings or unequivocally reject him, warning that his preoccupation could compromise his surgical performance and endanger his patients. To make him "give up," Dingding defiantly picked up a piece of chicken skin.

Ning Weijin didn't stop her but calmly recited the exact calorie count of fried chicken skin and the extensive exercise required to burn it off. Faced with these facts, Dingding silently put the chicken skin down. Ning Weijin drove Dingding home, assuring her that he wouldn't frequent the coffee shop unless necessary, allowing her to go to her studio without worry. As he drove away, he saw Chen Xun arrive at Dingding's house in his rearview mirror.

At a loss for what to do, Ning Weijin then noticed Dingding's sketchbook in his car. He seized the opportunity, took the sketchbook, and returned to her doorstep. Entering, he found Chen Xun already inside. Ning Weijin introduced himself as Zheng Dingding's pursuer, to which Chen Xun responded, recognizing him as Dr. Ning and declaring himself Dingding's current pursuer as well.

Ning Weijin retorted that there was no need for shyness, proudly mentioning his own confession, their date, and meeting her parents. Chen Xun dismissed Ning Weijin's claims, pointing out that he was "just a pursuer," to which Ning Weijin quickly countered that Chen Xun was "just an ex-boyfriend."
