Lu Boyan reassured Su Jianan to disregard others' gazes and dance as they had practiced. Their captivating performance, combining Lu Boyan's charm and their synchronized movements, earned thunderous applause from the appreciative guests. After the dance, Su Jianan expressed concern about Lu Boyan's drinking, though he insisted his happiness warranted it.
While she briefly left for the restroom, Han Ruoxi approached Lu Boyan and explicitly asked him to dance. When he questioned her intentions, she boldly stated it was a way for her to keep the secret of their impending divorce a year from now. Lu Boyan responded with a look of utter disdain. Meanwhile, Luo Xiaoxi, in an equally stunning gown from the same designer as Su Jianan's, was invited to dance by a gentleman.

At Lu's media office, Han Ruoxi confronted Lu Boyan, reminiscing about their shared past, including buying his boss chair together, her working overtime by his side, and him tying her shoelaces in public. She claimed everyone once saw them as an enviable "golden girl" couple. Lu Boyan sternly reminded her to "understand her identity." Lu Boyan definitively stated he never had any, implicitly attributing her persistent belief to Su Jianan's presence.
